To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

MexicoIt wasn't a non smoker room yet it still smelled like cigarettes. Housekeeping did not clean the room 2 days, I was in the last one of the row maybe that's why.

United States of AmericaFridge in the room did not work. There was a very bad smell several people in rooms were smoking pot. We coul smell it in the parking lot, stairs and the bad odor was coming into the room. Room 210
Locations and facilities were fairly ok. Security was ok. Parking lot illumination was good. Very clean rooms, bathroom was very clean, whites were white. Service was great.

United States of AmericaSwitched from original room to non smoking king. The couch was horrible to sit on, your butt went down as there was no cushion and you felt the wood frame. The chair was hard like brick. The bed was sagging. Satellite TV didn’t work, kept freezing…. Woke up, back was hurting so bad due to poor mattress.

Easy to check in .There is a Whatburger right across the street.Also there is a large supermarket within 2 blocks.Also a Shell station across from the Fiesta and a Popeye,s and other fast food places.And there is a Walmart less than a mile away.
