There is inadequate parking. If some parking is lost because of the construction, then you should not book as many rooms.

Housekeeping never visited our room, we had to stack our garbage outside our door. It was hot and humid outside, and fresh towels would have been nice at least once during our five day stay.

Love the location and amenities. Room needs updated, but was comfortable. Food at the Hickman Grill was wonderful and so was the staff.

My original room was in the unremodeled wing and unacceptable. The room was musty and smelled moldy. The air conditioner barely worked. No fridge or microwave. I called the front desk and was immediately moved to a different room that had working air. I was extremely appreciative of the quick response. My initial impression of Oglebay Resort was poor due to my first room, but after being moved I was quite pleased.

The elevator wasn’t working so we had to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs to our floor, and it was heavy no help from the workers and had to use stairs again to go up to restaurant. And when they worked the sounds it made you thought you were getting stuck in elevator.

The views were amazing.

Our wet carpet in our room,.which was odd. Slushies that cost 6.00 at the lake. Also, we had to ask for a fridge to be brought up. No microwave in room. We.brought our toaster over anyway. They do have Keurig if you like coffee.

Just being in such green, lush nature was fantastic! We loved the mini golf, large pool outdoors and indoors, rope course, zoo....pretty much all of it. The mansion was amazing as well!

There is plenty to do at the property itself. The amenities are wonderful and the staff was beyond friendly. Only down side is I was double charged

There was some kind of coal training convention while we were there, and along about 10-11 pm a group comes down the hall from the likely direction of the bar hoo-hawing like it was reveille, yukking it up and slamming doors, etc. Fortunately it didn't go on for long but pulled both of us out of a sound sleep. Maybe the resort would benefit from separating regular guests from those on "business" travel.

The restaurant is too busy. We had to go off property to get breakfast because there was a long line and not enough tables. The ants all over the putt putt course.

The construction was underway and really made parking unpleasant. Luckily, we're able to walk a long distance and carry things.

We love Oglebay. This was our third trip in two years. The staff is always pleasant. The grounds are always well kept, and the kids love the pool. However, the beds are very firm. There are also no microwaves in the rooms. Otherwise, we love it there!

We needed a place to stop on route. We had been to the property before. We got an amazing rate because the property is under renovation. The renovation may have affected our stay if we were staying for multiple days, but did not for our purposes.
