During our stay, the men's bathroom upstairs seemed to be closed most of the time. I think there must have been an issue that was being fixed in there. My partner was able to use the bathroom downstairs so it was OK, but a little far away

We stayed at this hotel at the start of our road trip and liked Santa Monica so much we decided to stay again at the end of our trip. The hotel is in a very safe-feeling neighbourhood and has very comfy beds. There was a little road noise but we just put ear plugs in (the hotel provided some) and it was fine.

It was very hot.. even tho it was only gonna be 70 degrees that day,, at night it was awfully hot. There’s No Ac in the rooms but there’s a vent above the door. I had to turn the fan on and open the window all the way and that still wasn’t good enough. But staff was nice and very helpful when getting a different room bc I was assigned two twins when I bought a queen.

Room was a bit small, adequate for my situation (I was just by myself with small backpack), but may be a bit tight for two guest with more luggage. Also not very well insulated acoustically. I could hear quite much from hallway and other rooms.

Location was very good, the rooms were clean and bathrooms were clean. Staff was very nice and helpful and had in place late checking procedures. All info was sent via texts, so there were no surprises.

Nothing major - some noise from people moving around, particularly in the morning, but we just put our earplugs in and it was completely fine. The frosted glass doors on showers were not an issue because you can't see anything through them, but a lock on the shower doors wouldn't go amiss. Couldn't figure out how to turn the TV on properly, but that might've been our problem! The main light in our bedroom didn't work, but we did have a bedside lamp, so again this was no major issue.

Overall a great place to stay. Really comfortable beds, and good price considering the location - such a safe feeling neighbourhood with plenty of cafes and restaurants a few minutes' walk away, and Santa Monica beach only a short drive (or 1h walk). Having a sink in the bedroom made all the difference, as there was no queuing to brush your teeth at night. Appreciated the free parking too, and the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Thanks!

Our bed fram was metal, different with the wood it shows on the booking.com pictures. It is noisy, any movement will creaks.

I like it is quite close to Santa Monica pier, even it need 20 mins bus ride. It is 2-3 blocks from restaurant and amenities so it's quite convenient.

I noticed that the door to the hotel was usually open and unlocked (even if we came back at 9/10 pm which I assume was for check in). The women’s bathroom didn’t have locks on the shower. I found this quite odd and also a bit of a safety risk as anyone could walk into the bathroom and come into the shower. The shower doors were also frosted and I could see the outline of people when they walked past so assumed they could also see my outline! Would recommend putting locks on the inside of the shower cubicles for added safety. The room smelt and looked clean, yet our feet/socks got incredibly dirty from walking around the room. Maybe the floor isn’t being cleaned properly.

I liked that it was a great location in a lovely and safe neighbourhood. We were able to walk to shops that were close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful, check in was very easy. The price is also great, not a flash room but fine for a few day stay!

My last two days had inconsiderate neighbours (loud TV and bathroom slobs). Note: Facilities were very clean, but cleaners can't work all hours of day and night. The room window could not be opened or closed due to an inoperable latch. There is no room heater if cold outside. There is no room AC if hot outside. This is normal for older housing areas in Southern California.

Room and facilities are clean and comfortable. The concept works perfectly when folks are considerate and well-mannered.
