Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IsraelI had a hard time reaching out to the hotel. The room was stated to have a sofa bed based on availability, but since I was traveling with my wife and two kids, I couldn't count on availability and wanted to make sure my kids won't sleep on a mattress on the floor. I got mostly generic responses and wasn't able to really be confident in what will happen. Also the check-in hour is quite late. 16:00, which is a bit unusual and we didn't get even a minute of earlier check-in (even though check-out is by 12:00).
The room was great, spacious and comfortable with amazing views. The location was amazing, near a subway station as well as in a great neighborhood to be in. Overall I'd say that even though its a bit on the pricier side of hotels, it is still a good value for money.

CanadaThe room we had did not have a table or mini fridge. The sink was outside of the bathroom and walls are paper thin (if you can imagine). I was with my daughter and it was ackward to be able to hear people in the next room. Thank fully she was asleep. I hope.
I loved the location. Perfect for if you don’t know NYC that well. It is a great starting point to go to many other places. Extremely walkable. The hotel restaurant was great, I do wish it had more options but everything I tried was tasty. But there are also lots of food options all around.

United StatesThe room could have had some outlets next to the bed for iPhone charging. The outlets were all by the desk. The hotel's restaurant offered a brunch on the weekend but the offerings were too fancy for me, I prefer traditional American breakfast. My wife loved it though. For security, the elevators should require a room key scan to work so that individuals who aren't guests won't be able to access the upper floors.
I opted for the upgrade from Booking.com to get a room with a better view. For about $30 more we were on the 24th floor with a majestic view of the city.

United StatesStaff at the lobby were not very nice, long lines for both check-in and check-out. Only one person working at check-out time and were taking long time checking people in at noon where you had people waiting in a long line to check out.
Best location and the hotel is very clean. I liked the coffee shop and the restaurant on first floor. They had a nice working area with separate stations.
