Getting over a jet lag here is very hard, darkening of the room was impossible. There was a very bright light on right next to the window and only shutters to try and block it. Manager was very kind, and said they were trying to change the light, but that was too late for us. Manager gave us a blanket to try and block the light, which helped for the second night! Thin walls and ceilings (or elephants for neighbours), you definitely need earplugs.

Location was good, nice neighbourhood with lots of breakfast and dinner options within walking distance. Nicely renovated rooms, simple comfort for a reasonable price. Beds were big and comfortable.

Ideal location for our holiday. Rooms cleaned daily and new towels, coffee etc and beds made. We didn't do breakfast (didn't actually know it was available)

In one of the rooms, there was loud voices of music and ... at all night. We stayed there for two nights and the same thing happened every night. This was very disappointing.

An old hotel but with clean rooms due to recent renovation, comfortable beds, modern & clean bathroom. Perfect location to see the city spots. Great value for money in San Francisco.

I really like the design and look of the plantation shutters, but they still allow too much light to come in the room at night. Also, the water was a trickle in the bathroom sink

No views - window looks into hallway and parking area. Need to keep shutters shut for any privacy. Plain and stark room (though clean and comfortable).

As not all the rooms were finished there was a lot of noise in the early morning. The corridors could do with being updated. The bathroom although new there was paint marks and sharpie writing on the tiles.

The rooms have been recently updated which were really good. Great locations for walking around and the staff were really nice

The people in the room above us stomping around like a herd of elephants all hours of the day (and night). But that’s not on the property owners of course

They were still refurbishing the other rooms, so a lot of building noise until around 8pm. However once completed it will be a great spot.

Great location, room was freshly refurbished. Parking included, given San Francisco is a nightmare to find parking that's free or where you can leave your vehicle for more than two hours is a bonus!

The floor was filthy. I had to ask for a broom to sweep the room myself. There were stains on the sheets. The shower would leave water all over the bathroom floor no matter how hard you tried to keep the water in. The tv didn’t work (pretty sure the remote just needed new batteries) but the front desk guy said he had to call maintenance but never sent anyone. We had to go ask him for batteries at the front desk and they didn’t have any so they said we just couldn’t use the tv. We had our 2 year old with us and not having a tv was really inconvenient.

Updated rooms look nice.

We liked everything.

We stayed four nights in the Nob Hill motor inn on May 2024 .After a 3 days trip to Monterey cal ,we came bach for 4 more night.We were very pleased.both times.The hotel is beautifully maintained .Everything is new and clean.The roon is large.The bed was confortable Bathroom very nice.Danny the manager was very helpful whenever we need everything.The neighborhrood is the best.Polk street is something to see.With nice restaurants, bars and cute stores..We recommend this hotel 100 per cent

Better sound proofing of windows and door. Parking spaces a bit tight. No bottled water was available.

Our host was so helpful to me when our uber took off with my bag still in the car. He allowed us to remain there while tracking the uber. I am very grateful he let us have coffee as well. Will stay again.

A/c was also a heat pump and didn’t control room temp accurately. Sometimes blow in cool air when heat was required. TV did not work with control
