Old, musty & in need or updating & repairs. Smelled stale, bedding was worn out, dirty or stained. One comforter had several cigarette burns in it. Refrigerator hummed all night & the heater sounded like a jet taking off, each time it came on. The beds were not queens, as advertised, they are fulls. This room was far below the quality for the price paid.

It was all good until I was woken up by someone walking around in the parking lot talking very loudly on his phone, whom I think was the owner as when I went in to take breakfast, he was sitting at the front desk still on his phone barely aknowdgleing my questions, as I felt he was more concerned with the phone conversation.

Napa Discovery Inn advertised, walking distance to Downtown Napa. The Discovery Inn is approx. 1.8 miles to downtown. lighting in bathroom was dim, could be improved. Pictures on Booking.com are misleading.

Felt expensive for what it was. Space was poorly used. There's a large entrance hall that is vaguely prepped as a sad little office space. It could be upgraded to a small living/dining space..

Seems to be an upgraded motel. Quite clean and pleasant, but not premium. Completely pleasant.

It was very noisy from the street so we didn't sleep well, speciali nothing more from 5 a.m. when the noise from the street was really terrible and the breakfast was really poor, 3 things were offered in reception aria without possible to sitting down. We did not use it. Such as breakfast is NOT offered to the guests. This is really an understatement.

The bathroom was not the cleanest, only had 2 soaps and only 1 little shampoo, for 2 people, nolotion. At 6 a.m. the fire alarm detectir started beeping annoyingly waking us up :( And the breakfast was nothing to talk about, bad coffee. Food was just bread, creamcheese or bulk cereal. No fruit, no juice.

One room didn't get good wifi, but the manager mentioned (as I was leaving) an alternative wifi for the back rooms. The back room was a little less comfortable. I was called at 10AM, and a woman asked (shouting at me) if I'd be checking out. No "Good Morning, Mr...", no "This is the front desk asking if you'll be needing...", just "ARE YOU CHECKING OUT??". I said "I'll be out as soon as I can..." Always uncomfortable ringing a bell and disturbing someone "at home" in order to check in/get services.

Two of the rooms were very nice. Comfortable. The place felt very safe, too. Good parking. Check-in was easy.

It gets very cold in the room very fast and the heating ramps up so much that it gets to hot. Bathroom could use a little cleaning. Staff could be more friendly and paying attention to the customers and not be on the phone while serving customers. Also calling at 8am to ask if the room needs to be cleaned is not very appropriate. People are sleeping.

It’s located 5 min away from downtown so very nice. The rooms are separated like little house so the noise was not a problem.

The whole place was very dated and dusty. It is not a hotel it is an old fashioned motel. The breakfast that was included wasn't worth bothering with. The reception area and breakfast area were just like the hallway of owners' home. The person who checked us in was on the telephone when we arrived and was a little rude to us, not welcoming at all.

We could walk into downtown Nappa, which was part of their sales pitch, and the main reason we booked this motel. It was about a half hour walk, but part of that was along a very busy road where there was no path, not great, especially in the dark! Nappa itself was lovely with lots of places to eat and drink. We did a lovely walk through a country park area (short drive from the accommodation).

With the right expectations this hotel works for a weekend in Napa. The rooms are old and breakfast is not really a breakfast at all, but we knew these things ahead of time so it wasn't an issue.

The room had everything we needed - a larger than average fridge for a hotel room, TV, AC, daily housekeeping. Walking to town is no issue if you're comfortable quickly crossing the Silverado trail to Soscol Ave, which has a pedestrian walkway. There was daily housekeeping, and we brought our own breakfast to keep in the fridge and got free coffee from the lobby in the morning. If you have the right expectations, this can be a convenient place to spend a night or two when you explore napa.

The room was surprisingly ... NOT like the pictures. I don't mind an older place, not everywhere can be new and swanky. However, I didn't really even want to stay in the room longer than needed. The window AC did finally kick in, but wasn't adjustable so it was all on, or off, and I couldn't direct the air off the bed.

Location was ideal.
