Needed some amenities and instruction on how to deal with the beach tar. Felt bad leaving the black stains on the towels and in the shower. A little bottle of baby or vegetable oil with explanation would have helped us and housekeeping.

Everything was great. Motel 6 is always simple and few frills, but it was very clean.

The location of this hotel is incredible, across the street from the beach on Cabrillo. They provide rental equipment for the beach, a definite plus if you need it! The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, incredible value for the money.

Fridge made a very loud noise throughout the night. Curtains let in a lot of light.

The sheets were a bit rough and uncomfortable, the bed was a little stiff and the ac didn’t work all that well. Additionally the curtains didn’t block out all the light from outside and there were bright lights in the parking lot.

It is expensive, given it doesn't include any kind of breakfast. Staff at reception aren't very friendly and make no effort to interact or greet until you do

There were three of us and only two towels. I got there early with my 80-year old parents and they would not let us check in 15 minutes early. We were going to be charged another $20 for 15 minutes early.

Quite cold one night and no extra bedding in room. Had to ask and it was provided next day. No facility for making hot drinks in room. Could get coffee from reception in the morning. Reception was good at letting me have hot water for tea later in the day. A little noisy outside with people walking to and from room but seemed to settle down.

The beds were very small.

Room was renovated. Motel was very close to the beach. What I especially liked is the customer service. I left my e-reader in the room. The staff was extremely helpfull to make sure I received it on time in the next hotel as we were on a road trip. No words to express how thankful I am.

AC made a noise for heat mode.

Location to the beach area, if you need decent clean accommodation without the cost, this place will do. We were located next to office, wasa bit hesitant at first, but did not once hear anyone. Rooms were quiet.

We were in the end room next to the cleaners cupboard. There was some sort of machine that would kick in every now and again and would sound very loud through the wall, this wouldn't have been an issue but it did happen quite late when we were trying to sleep. I dont think this would be an issue in any of the other rooms though.

The location was very good, it was so close to the beach. There was plenty of parking and the rooms looked quite new. We were satisfied with our stay.
