Had to wait until 7:30am for breakfast room to open, an earlier opening would be appreciated.

The breakfast and location were adequate.The TV in the room should have the volume off and in close caption mode.

The staff in the hotel is great, super helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, close good places to eat and easy to hop on the muni (public transportation). To get there from SFO using BART and MUNI was fast and super easy.

Breakfast was great, nothing out of this world but the same as I would of had if I was home It was close to all transport and an easy walk to the main area, the walk back a little uphill but that is San Francisco. Really great having a laundromat only a few metres from the Hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay here. I wasn't expecting much to be honest, and the Mayflower way exceeded my expectations. There is so much personality and vibe to this hotel. It's clean, comfortable, and comes with a nice breakfast. There's also a mini market next door.

Lovely hotel with a historical interior, and unique rooms with wall paintings from various artists, in addition to the excellent equipment. A very cozy, homy place to stay with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. A nice continental breakfast was also offered. It feels as if a family was running the hotel and you were renting one of their rooms in an old, amicable house. On Bush street, it is just a few corners form Union Square, a Cable Car stop, and basically any form of transportation to go around in the city. It also boasts free parking if your car fits, but we haven't tried that. A little café and laundry room is also just around the corner. Definitely recommended!

No coffee machine or kettle in room, no actual laundry options on site - is a café/public laundrette nearby, hot drinks only available at breakfast time, busy area so quite noisy

It is expensive, but which good hotel is not, in SF? Breakfast is not good, but for me this is a minor detail.

I come regularly to this hotel when I visit SF. It has all I ask from a hotel: clean, quiet and pleasant room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. It is located in the city center, and the surroundings are safe and nice. WiFi works well.

The location is a bit tricky. Also, sometimes it smelled of something weird. The heating system could be improved but overall it's very good.

This is a good budget place to live. Facilities are very good. They even provided space to stay after checking out. Extremely well behaved people and staff. Breakfast was also on time.

Would have liked a tea kettle in the room. The old-fashioned elevator can be a little tricky when your hands are full but I figured it out.

Room was clean and comfortable, had a microwave and mini-fridge which I always appreciate, but no hot water kettle. It also had crockery but no cleaning supplies (sponge, dishwashing soap). Rooms were also cleaned daily. Location was convenient to my conference at the Hilton nearby, just be aware of where you are walking as it's right next to the Tenderloin. The continental breakfast was also decent, I actually found it had more protein available than the Hilton! There is also a handy mini-market next door that had quality goods. I also had some issues with my foreign credit card, the concierge was more than accommodating while I sorted it out.

The rooms were large, very clean and very comfortable. Lots of nice homey touches (soft patterned sheets and beautiful quilts). Nice people at the desk. Complimentary breakfast (very basic, but good).

I loved that it had something of old San Francisco about it. Good location not far from Union square. The room was very comfortable with large opening windows. The staff were fabulous! They were helpful, informative and very personable.

1. A coffee-maker in the room would have been convenient. 2. Breakfast menu was same each day, and focused on functionality more than variety or palatability.

This is a nice hotel that is pleasant for a short stay. We especially enjoyed the following: 1. Quiet room that did not overlook the Main Street (Bush Street). 2. Fairly spacious room. 3. Two separate walk-in closets within the room. These were very useful for storing luggage etc. 4. Microwave with some basic crockery and cutlery. 5. Stable wifi connection. 6. Functional breakfast included in the price. 7. Sense of history within the hotel. 8. Friendly staff at checkin and reception. 9. Smooth checkin process. 10. Nice chest of drawers within the room.
