Bathrooms are nice and renovated but room itself was very old, stains on walls. Walls were very thin.

Price point was good, receptionist was very nice and accomodating.

Nothing, all were good. No cleaning, which was not a problem, but you have to ask to take the waste away or change towels

It’s just an older building so the bathroom Is a bit small and old. But it’s perfectly fine.

The reception staff was amazing. Helped us check in early with no issues when we arrived much earlier than planned. Beds were comfy and room was clean

The con is it’s far from Bart station. It’s quite hard to walk with the big luggage around 10 mins.

Great hotel to stay! Clean, convenient and very safe. the room is a bit tiny but we’re okay with that. It’s not bad at all. The hotel has drinking water that customer can fill the water.

The rooms need a little love (deep clean and some basic maintenance). There are renovations going in at the lobby area so sometimes there is a morning noise. Getting fresh towels is a bit complicated.

Location is excellent - its easy to reach to / from the airport. Its also nearby lots of attractions & ferries The cable car line is just around the corner. The staff is nice. There is a morning tea & coffee daily. There is also a functional elevator.

I was disappointed that I didn't have a fridge in the room. However, the staff were kind enough to offer me the use the staff fridge in the lobby area. I found the corridors outside the room a little dark and gloomy. Better lighting, fresh painting and carpets seem needed.

I had a fairly long stay at the hotel - 10 days. I found the rooms a bit smaller than I expected. When I mentioned this at the reception, the friendly hotel staff put me in a better room. I am thankful for that. Nevertheless, due to the building being old, the rooms are overall smaller than many four-star hotels. I also enjoyed the coffee machine in the room and the daily morning coffee in the lobby area. The location is great, around Union Square, with a short walk to the metro station. A diner and a shop for snacks and basic goods are just next to the hotel.

If I'm being picky I'd ask for a room away from the elevator if I were to stay again.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I asked and received a higher floor. The room is dated and the handyman is terrible but it's clean and I think they're upgrading. Bed was amazing and had an actual duvet cover, which is rare in America. Pillows were excellent. The lobby is beautiful. I think I saw a peregrine falcon flying past the window.

The building is old but the rooms have been somewhat updated.

The staff was the best part. They were friendly and very helpful. They offered suggestions for places to visit and using public transit.

The walls are really thin so you do hear sounds from outside and neighbors. My room was quiet during the night though

Facilities seem old. And the room is very small. You should not pick this if you require mobility space.

Great location. Despite it being in the middle of the city, it is actually very quiet. I am able to have very good sleep at night. It is pretty clean too.

Only real complaint would be the size of the room/bathroom.. however, after learning and knowing the history of the building its understanding of the small room size.

The staff was very friendly and inviting. Centrally located and easy to get around to other areas of the city. Great parking garage recommendation- felt safe and comfortable leaving car parked over the weekend.

this is a charming boutique hotel that has been renovated, staff was attentive and courteous. The lobby is welcoming with furnishings that are good quality and the area was clean. there is also fresh coffee and tea in the lobby, filtered water and my room was quiet.

Nothing really. It was excellent value for money despite being a little tired around the edges, butnto be expected for an old hotel.
