Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United StatesLamberson is great. We just found the central area of town very touristy, and, for the most part, the shops were below grade.
I asked for some modifications, and they were graciously met. Stephanie and Jeff are superb hosts.

United StatesThe only challenge is the stairs to climb down and back up from downtown area. But, the views are absolutely worth the climb.
Resa and Chris are top-notch and very welcoming and full of warmth and interest in making people feel like they’re part of the family. We made some new friends and strong connection to the Lamberson Guest House this weekend. We’re already thinking about the future and returning with friends again soon! Thank you so much Resa and Chris for a wonderful stay in Galena!

Jeff and Steph were wonderful hosts. We had last minute reservations on a holiday weekend and they were very accommodating and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious as well. Definitely a place we would stay at again.

United StatesAbsolutely nothing, everything was as close to perfect as I have experienced, and I travel worldwide for business.
We stay at a fair number of Bed and Breakfasts (and dozens of Hilton and Marriott hotels) each year and this was easily the best experience we have had. The house is beautiful and very nicely decorated, the location is great, but what sets it apart is the exceptional interaction with the owners/staff. We had wine and cheese each afternoon on the patio and got to know everyone.

United StatesIt was our first bed and breakfast experience, the Lamberson Guest House did not disappoint. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. Our room was inviting and relaxing, a charcuterie tray and beverages were waiting for us each afternoon. The three course breakfast was a delicious feast each morning. The outdoor patio was the perfect place to visit with other guests and our hosts. We will definitely be visiting again.
