The only thing I didn't love was that there is no on site restaurant/food, and the tiki bar at the pool only offers beer/wine. Luckily, their sister hotel (Amara Cay) does offer that and you can visit their hotel for free as a La Siesta guest. It's only 0.4 miles away.

The room was very spacious, we had a standard 2 queen bed with a garden view and felt like we had our own little oasis. We were on the first floor so could just walk out on our patio and enjoy the view (which still had a fantastic view of the ocean)

The cottage was a little unkept - poor patchwork on the walls/trim/caulking, and staining in the shower. We were expecting a little better quality of a room/space, but overall it was nice.

Excellent location. We loved being right on the water. The cottages allowed for more privacy and less noise. We have to travel with our dogs because they are older in age, and this location accepts pets which makes it convenient.

Can't really point anything we didn't like.

The staff was really nice and friendly, especially the manager. The room was bigger and more comfortable than I had expected. We will definitely visit again.

Shower was accessible but really thin, shower curtain touching you if you close it. Water would go all over the floor. Very expensive for the room we got.

We didn’t like that check in is at 4:00 and the amenities for renting out the bikes, kayaks, paddle boards closed at 4:30. It would be nice they stayed open at least till 5:30 or 6:00pm. I understand we can utilize the rentals and amenities prior to check in but if we can’t get there by 4:00 and we are charged for the amenities, it’s not nice nor is it conducive.

Loved the amenities included, location, staff and layout of the property for our family to stay in Islamorada. This resort is peaceful and playful for families especially with kids and fur babies.

Due to weather we were unable to use any of the water activities. That was very disappointing. It wasn’t raining or storming either day but they still wouldn’t let us use because of wind/and it thunder earlier in day.

We didn't get the villa on the beach that we paid for, but they did upgrade us to what was probably a more comfortable 2 BR, 2 bath small house.

There was a rooster that crowed in middle of the night and super early. Staff said they were working on a plan to relocate him, but he was really crafty and evaded everyone while we were there. They assured us he was only a temporary irritation.

The floor of the room was dirty - needed mopped, not just swept. The couch was stained, needed steam cleaned or wet vacced. The curtains in front of the balcony had been pulled down and reattached, but wonky. The window's lock in the bathroom was broken off, and the sink stopper was broken. It's the little details like this, the poor maintenance, that keeps this from a higher rating.

The outer parts of the property were lovely. The pool is very nice, and heated. The view was great. The size of the room exceeded expectations. The kitchenette was nice. Multiple large tvs. The balcony was enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

La Siesta has a great beach with kayaks readily available. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and willing to do anything to make the guest's stay better. Low-key vibe was nice. And the location worked well for what we did.

The room had a large kitchenette area but there was no crockery or cutlery supplied, so what was the point? The price of the ice creams at the pool bar, what a rip off! Thought we were getting one of the little colourful rooms on the beach, but we were in the modern block, with limited views, website misleading.

The location was great, the room was huge, the beach and pool area were lovely. We liked the free pool towels and the pool bar. They had a shuttle service to take you around the resort for free, which was brilliant. Lovely grounds and foliage.

Have made it my goal to never stay at hotel with Resort fees!! Complete ripoff, no in room guide to property amenities raining cats and dogs to find ice machine had to walk to front desk was totally soaked not their fault but very inconvenient since they would not answer their front desk phone!! Tired of the BS Resort fees I might as well throw 50 bucks into the ocean but otherwise great place to stay staff was awesome!!
