Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilIt’s not a really “dislike” - room is fine if you are traveling solo, for work. Breakfast is frugal, and the space for is very small, but I never got it busy. The only thing that really turned me off was the lack of a fridge in the room.
The staff was great! Very modern, clean, and the location is great!

United StatesThe layout of the room. Odd that the bathroom did not really have a door - it’s right next to the door to the room. Really strange.

AustraliaNot the hotels fault but there was a noisy bar next door just below our room (315). If staying there ask for a room at the other end of the building
Great location, clean and comfortable. Although the room was smallish, it was not a problem for a number of nights

SingaporeEverything else is ok.
The most disappointing part of my stay at the hotel is the breakfast. The staff explained that the food available for Monday and Tuesday is usually very low because the supply arrives on Wednesday. By Monday, the supply would normally be insufficient for all the guests. I hope the management can help the person in charge to order sufficient quantity for the guests especially for those staying on Monday and Tuesday.

New ZealandThe breakfast offering is very limited in a small nook that would only handle about 6-8 guests. We managed OK although the offering could be improved by having more healthy cereals (eg bran flakes). The hot breakfast offering on weekdays was little more than a few hash browns. However, there are plenty of good cafe options within a couple of minutes walk.
The location is excellent with parking, restaurants, the Stanford Shopping Center, etc all close by. Parking just along High St is free at night and for 2 hours during the day (8am-5pm). It can be hard to find a park during busy early evening dining periods, but we managed OK. The rooms are very small but clean and comfortable. The air conditioning system is quiet!!!

United StatesThe air conditioning as it was set on heat with no way to switch to cool. It was 90 degrees the day I stayed so this was an exception.
Great location and superb value. Everything was wonderful. It was a very short Uber from Stanford hospital. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

United StatesThe room was tiny and there was no window in the room. I was actually a window but it was locked and blurred, like at a public bathroom. There’s no gym at the hotel.
Location is great, close to the Palo Alto station, bars and restaurant and Stanford university. The staff was friendly. Breakfast is nice.

BrazilI stayed for 3 nights and my room wasn't cleaned once. On the second day, I left the sign to have the room cleaned, but when I arrived, late afternoon, I found the room exactly as I had left it in the morning.
The location was great - walking distance to Stanford Campus, which was the purpose of the trip. The staff is very amicable. Breakfast is simple, but within expectation. Having a coffee machine and water available all day long was a nice plus. The room is as small as review say, but there was a small rack hang clothes.

United StatesWhen we checked in, we were told check out time was noon, but on the day we were leaving they said it was actually 11am. Room was smaller than usual and heat didn't work well.
Small, boutique hotel close to the transit center, downtown, and Stanford University. It was nicely quiet, old school feel with some technological upgrades.

United StatesThe closing of the doors was so loud it woke me up each time someone opened or closed their door. The view from the window was of a concrete wall, apparently the case in most rooms. Felt like being in a large windowless walk-in closet.

United StatesFloor was dirty & sticky in our room. Wished we had a microwave or/and mini fridge. Breakfast had few choices and on 2 days a toaster was out, but nothing to toast. I wished security was better with card access at front door. Anyone could walk in and cruise the floors.
Location was perfect. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Jonathan. Room size and amenities were fine except for those things mentioned in response to what we didn't like.

United StatesThe rooms are quite small and the noise isolation is poor (fortunately all my neighbors were very quiet). Not cheap either.
The location is great, right in downtown PA and an easy walk to the Stanford campus. Good wifi. The breakfast isn't fancy but there's enough protein in the form of eggs and yogurt to get the job done. Right next to Coupa Cafe as well.

United Statescurrently undergoing total room remodeling floor by floor so very noisy starting at 8 AM. Not sure why it needs remodeling because I was in one of the existing all the rooms and it was nice and in perfect condition, except two things. If you are claustrophobic this hotel is not for you. There are no rooms with windows that face out. It’s great that the windows open for fresh air but there is only 2 feet distance to the brick wall of the adjoining building. The other uncomfortable thing was that there is a strange feeling of dampness in the room that gave it a chill even with the heater on
Wonderful friendly courteous and helpful staff. Great location, clean room. simple basic OK breakfast included with Costco muffins, yogurt, coffee machine at Cetera.
