The only thing I didn’t like was sharing a bathroom with several couples. They had extra showers down stairs but only one toilet.

The property was beautiful and super clean. Bernie the host is really nice.

It was hard to tell which photos were our room so we weren't entirely sure what type of room/area we would be getting.

Lovely clean and calm accommodation with one of the best beaches just over the road away from crowds. The shares facilities were well equipped and we found all the other guests were nice and respectful.

The perfect place to stay on the North Shore. The property is absolutely beautiful, so comfortable, and really feels like a hidden little oasis. Bernie really makes you feel at home and is so welcoming and eager to make sure you get the most out of your time in the area. He always has the best recommendations for where to go and what to eat. In a fantastic location - easy to walk to the beach or drive to anywhere else. Was happy to let me hang out on the day I checked out since I had an overnight flight which I really appreciated. Thanks so much for a wonderful time, looking forward to being back again soon!

I had the most amazing experience as a first time solo traveler in this lodge . Super organized, amazing outdoor area with hammock, chairs , very peaceful atmosphere. I met the most amazing people there, everyone was so friendly and so welcoming. Definitely will stay there again next time

beds could use some replacements. The mattresses weren't super comfortable and climbing to the top bunk was not easy. Rather than actual bunk beds, these were two single beds stacked on top of each other. So, they were difficult to climb into.

The stay was perfect. The entire property was like a work of art. Short walk to some of the best surf breaks in the world and the bus system makes a car unnecessary if you are planning on staying on the north shore. This is a nice place and not for crazy parties. The property manager, Bernie, is very helpful and cares deeply about keeping things clean and comfortable for everyone. Just clean up after yourself and don't create a big mess. (leaving dishes out or tracking sand past the sidewalk)

Great little place a few steps away from Sunset Beach. I had the king room, it was super comfortable and beautifully decorated (like all the house). The shared bathroom was kept clean and the kitchen had everything you could need. Lovely outdoor dining area and gardens where you can hang out and chat with other travellers, but very relaxing and not at all a "party" place. The host Bernie was more than happy to help with getting around the area, and happy to share his knowledge and love of Oahu. Definitely recommend!

I had a great stay at Kalani lodge, Bernie (the host) is a character ! He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave great recommendations for things to do. The property itself is walking distance to the beach and a short drive to nearby restaurants. I found the property to be very relaxing and I felt comfortable during my stay.

Check in is a joke. Very hard to find the place with no signage and the front doorbell doesn’t work. Expected to call Bernie which is a nightmare if you don’t have internet. I spent 2-3 hours just trying to get a hold of someone to get access.

Probably the only trouble was the amount of restroom accessibility for the number of people residing there, but I understand there's not much to be done, and even so the outside shower and bathroom were beautifully installed, so it's hard to complain.

Extremely hospitable, knowledgeable, and hard-working host and staff. More amenities than I would've ever expected, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and any concerns addressed straight away. The property is very well-kept and undergoing maintenance and upgrades whenever needed.

A little bit distant...

It was an amazing and comfy stay, a perfect sanctuary. Bernie was helpful and thoughtful all the time. The garden was wonderful and the people there were all very nice. Very big parking place and wonderful beach nearby.

I loved my stay here. It was fantastic value and in an amazing location. I stayed in a dorm room but felt like I was staying at a friend’s house. Lovely people, super clean, great vibes. Bernie is super helpful and made the stay really easy.
