Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe were staying on the 4th floor on a Friday night. Lots of noise echoed from the street until early hours of the morning. Perhaps consider staying at a higher floor overlooking the river if you are staying here.
Nice and clean hotel. Staff very courteous.

United StatesThere were several events at the hotel (weddings) so there was some celebratory noise that we could hear kinda late in the evenings, but the room was just perfect otherwise.
The friendly & welcoming staff were great. They watched our luggage until check-in time and recommended a restaurant a couple of blocks down, which offered huge portions and great food. The Hudson Suite was large, with a big 4 piece bathroom & floor-to-ceiling windows, which looked out to the Hudson. We were able to see the NCL cruise ship on embarkation day. Walking with Pier 88 with our luggage was easy and quick. This is a terrific hotel to stay in if you are catching a cruise.

We were given a great room with a view over the Hudson river. Very large with comfortable beds and well chosen furniture for seating. Bathroom was very large and well stocked.

United StatesAt arrival and check in, valets and bellhops were VERY aggressive. I reached into my trunk to take my bag out and the valet literally scolded me and told me I couldn’t touch my own bag. I understand that they may be instructed to serve the hotel guests and all, but if I choose to handle my own bag, that’s my decision. Felt like I was a child being scolded. Front desk at check in was also not super welcoming. Had a MUCH better experience the morning we checked out with very pleasant staff. Also was disappointing that the trash cans in one of the rooms still had trash in them when we arrived. Only one washcloth in the bathroom for a room with 2 people. Overall still a good experience and would stay there again, but definitely some moments that were not the best.
Cool vibe. Convenient location. Rooms were nice with great views. Beds were very comfortable. For the price it was well worth it, compared to other more expensive stays in NYC. The staff in the morning when we checked out were SUPER nice and bubbly.

BelgiumThe window covering in the room are a little bit old and could be renewed. Also, the deposit (100 USD/day) is still blocked, however not charged, on our VISA. We got confirmation from the hotel that they released it, so we're checking with VISA for the moment but I'm confident it'll be OK. UPDATE: 1 month after return to Belgium the deposit was released on our VISA, so everything OK.
We travelled with our 2 teens (15 and 12 yo) and shared 1 large room with 2 queensize beds. The room and bathroom were spacious with regards to NY-standards and was very clean and modern. Every day a change of bath linnen, cleaning of the room and new amenities (shampoo etc). The staff is very friendly, our requests (eg. extra toilet paper) were complied almost immediately (within 15 mins). We stayed in April: restaurant and rooftop were closed but there was free coffee in the lobby which was great. Location to us was excellent: 15 mins walk from Times Square, close to restaurant row (a lot of very nice restaurants!) and also 1 street away from the Intrepid/Circle Line cruises and thus the Hudson river. 20 mins walk (alongside Hudson river) to Hudson yards/the Vessel. For the price we payed (via Booking.com) I would say this was an excellent value-for-money hotel.

United KingdomVery noisy from the street at night, we were 5th floor and there was loud music, shouting and car horns all through the night. The window blinds are white and they let in a lot of light. The housekeeping wasn’t great, the mini bar was never restocked, and one day the room wasn’t made up. The guy on reception was plain rude, not just to me. His eye rolling, tutting and abruptness were uncalled for. If you don’t want to be asked simple questions, don’t work on reception.
Clean, modern, decent sized rooms. Entry before official check in time and left luggage available for the last day.

United StatesI have been here before quite a few times and I do like the hotel that’s why I keep coming back, but this time the both of the restaurants were closed for renovation so well was forced to order food from outside or go out in the evening to eat, which I prefer eating at the restaurant in the hotel.
Some of the staff were very professional and very helpful. The location was perfect near everything I needed to get you.

United KingdomIt was pricy but that’s more a reflection of New York than of the hotel itself.
Ink 48 was slick, clean, well-staffed and well-located. Everything ran very smoothly and reception were quick, relaxed and efficient with any queries. The room was immaculately clean and exactly as described - I stayed in King suite with city view. I found location was ideal - fifteen minute walk to Central Park, with plenty of good food and drink options around Hell’s Kitchen itself.

SwedenNo breakfast buffet, the rooftop was closed and was the main reason we booked this hotel, a bottle of water for 8$, it costs to watch a movie from the tv in the room. In my opinion, these things should be included when you pay what you pay. Good to know that the hotel is close to a bar/club, so there is a lot of noise during night.
I liked how kind and welcoming the staff were. Whenever we needed something, they were always available. Thanks to Chris for helping us out with our bags. I also like the location of the hotel. We could walk to several places in under 20 minutes, which was great in sunny weather.

GermanyNothing really to complain. It can get a bit noisy at night due to the police and firebrigades frequently driving down the street but this is NYC and nothing that the hotel can change. There is a small gym that you can use free of charge 24/7 but there are obviously not too many machines to use.
Clean and modern hotel room in Hell’s Kitchen. We were travelling with kids and the staff was very friendly. Safe environment.
