You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

The property is close to the Alamo and the River Walk. Very convenient. The room was redecorated very nicely, and the service people were excellent!!

United States of AmericaIf you decide to stay at Hotel Gibbs please take advantage of the valet parking. We made the HUGE mistake of parking next to the hotel in the Alamo public parking. We came out the next morning to find that our truck had been broken into. Window shattered and inside ransacked. Thankfully only a bag of souvenirs was stolen and not our vehicle. The San Antonio police did a report over the phone and that was about all of the help they were :( They weren’t even willing to assign an officer to check out if there was any video footage. We were told that we needed to contact the businesses ourselves to see if anything was caught on video. Businesses were closed because of it being Memorial Day. Since we were from out of state we had no idea who to contact. The hotel found a piece of heavy foam board that we used to block the window out. We ended our vacation 2 days early and drove 1000 miles straight to get home.
Beautiful historic hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast.

United States of AmericaThe beds were uncomfortable, very hard, and bit squeaky, and the room was not super clean. The hotel hallway where the elevator was, smelled bad.
I liked the area, in front of the Alamo Plaza and the room size. The shower was separate from the restroom, which allowed us to do more. Although the shower needed lighting. The price was good for downtown, and it was quiet.

An old hotel that has been completely renovated. Staff was the friendliest from top to bottom. How often do you see the manager come in and talk with everyone at breakfast. Best hot breakfast ever for free. Great location. Highly recommend.

The location is fantastic, Alamo was right across the street, Riverwalk entrance was a block away. Extremely clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bartender was wonderful and very knowledgeable.
