While my stay at the Hyatt House Tallahassee Capitol-University had many positives, there were a few areas that fell short of expectations. The biggest issue was the noise level – both from outside traffic and within the hotel itself. I could hear people in neighboring rooms and in the hallway, which disrupted sleep at times. A little more soundproofing would go a long way. Additionally, while the breakfast was decent, the selection felt limited. By the end of my stay, I found myself wishing for more variety, especially for longer stays. Lastly, although the hotel is pet-friendly, the designated pet areas could be cleaner and better maintained. It would be nice to see some extra attention here to make it more comfortable for guests traveling with pets. Overall, the hotel has great potential and still offers a good experience, but a few tweaks would make it even better.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt House in Tallahassee, and it exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic, especially if you're visiting Florida State University or Florida A&M University – both are just minutes away, which was very convenient. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and included a full kitchen, which was perfect for a longer stay. It felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room! Cleanliness was clearly a priority, as everything was spotless, from the room to the common areas. The hotel offers great amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a nice outdoor pool area where I could relax. I especially appreciated the complimentary breakfast each morning – it was a good spread, and the staff was always friendly and attentive. Another bonus is that the hotel is pet-friendly. It’s clear they go out of their way to make everyone, including furry family members, feel welcome. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hyatt House Tallahassee. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming stay!

The room itself was very clean but just needs more attention to detail when cleaning. Mainly in the bathroom, which been a little cleaner..there were stray hairs in the shower.

The hotel is in an excellent location, right at the entrance to FAMU, which is the reason we visited the area. The staff was excellent and friendly and the hotel was very clean. The room is huge and comfortable.

In my opinion, the cleaning of my room could have been better. On the bathroom sink, there was part of the previous guests bar soap or something. The faucet and the toilet also just weren’t spotless. I could see lots of fingerprints on the mini fridge. Maybe I’m just being too picky, but I don’t want see any signs that someone else has stayed in “my” room.

I didn't care for the carpet throughout and I found the room to be 75% clean but still overall stay was awesome!

There was food behind the mini fridge in the room. There was also crumbs under the sofa cushions. For the value paid, I would expect a full size fridge to be in the room.

Unbelievably the hotel charge to park your car! Seems incredibly mean minded when you’re already paying nicely to stay there. We parked for free about 100 metres up the road where there was plenty of free parking available. Breakfast selection was a little disappointing. No black tea and limited selection of foods.

Incredible location, close by to bars and restaurants. Very comfy bed, spacious bedroom and a lovely shower.
