Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaBreakfast was very unhealthy, lots of high sugar items (granola, juices), no vegetables, not recommended for people with dietary restrictions (ie gluten free, vegan, etc). There is 2 hour public parking rule around the hotel, paid parking is pricey (20USD) knowing that you are in an industrial Michigan town, far from tourist destinations. Room was generally clean, however could have been a bit cleaner, found hair on the sofa and on the bathroom floor.
New hotel, nice and spacious room. Nice little kitchen and living room area, good quality furniture, bed and mattress. Friendly hotel staff.

United StatesUpon our arrival, we encountered a hiccup with our booking through Booking.com concerning our dog’s accommodation. At the front desk, Samantha informed us that there was no record of our pet. She was very diligent in her efforts to rectify the situation. Ultimately, Samantha graciously upgraded us to two king-sized rooms that could comfortably fit our group of four people and our dog. We were truly appreciative of her dedication to resolving the issue to our satisfaction.

United StatesThe breakfast could have been better. There needs to be a self served making pancakes machine and fresh bacon. The hash browns tasted freezer burnt soggy not crispy or fresh, the pancakes were hard. The breakfast was the only thing that was crummy but the coffee was great!
The place was clean, the staff was awesome and friendly and I love how the person that checked us in was so full of great energy it was amazing I have stayed plenty places and this place is top notch! Room was comfortable and clean!

United StatesThe parking in the front of the hotel was only designated for 2 hours. We had to pay extra to park overnight. That was not communicated to us and we were surprised to pay for parking. You have to park in the lower lot, then walk up the stairs, past the 2 hour parking, into the lobby. It is a inconvenient. At night the 2 hour parking areas were completely full so I can see parking being a major issue in this area. Be prepared to park far, pay for parking, and/or move your car every 2 hours!
The staff was so friendly, the facility was extremely clean, we loved the pools

United StatesThe parking was not great at all. The hotel has no parking available. The only parking was in a city or private lot across the street and there was a charge to park. Overnight parking was $20 extra and the hotel did not validate your parking. The listing did not make any mention, at I could see, of the additional charges for parking, very disappointing.
Very nice room and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good for my needs. Breakfast was good but not the best I have seen. There was a restaurant and bar on location in a connecting hotel.

United StatesMy complaint is the lighting in the room. In order to turn the lights on, you have to put a key card in a slot when you enter the room. I do not understand why hotels do this. It is inconvenient and seems unnecessary. However, it is a pretty minor thing, so not too big of a deal.
We have stayed in several hotels in Lansing, and this was by far the best! It was clean, staff was friendly, and there was just a good vibe among the other guests. The room was spacious, and the breakfast was really good. Honestly a great bang for your buck!

United StatesI only mention this because I want you to succeed. We had drinks with friends at the bar. The bartender bused our glasses but didn’t ask if we’d like refills. We had to go up to the bar for refills. Our group had 4 signature cocktails, 3 Blue Moon beers and 3 Modelis. They charged us $44!! The signature cocktails alone came to $52!
Everything! It was clean, the staff was very friendly.
