Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesI was immensely grateful that this hotel had a nice room available for me when a combination of weird airport operations and airline failures made me miss my connection. Being here, on-site, made the difference between getting a night of 5 hr sleep, with very nice dinner, and the alternative, which would have been having a night of almost no sleep with no dinner. Excellent location and connectivity to gates, pleasant room.

Needed an airport hotel for a night's stay in between flights. This was a great choice - walking distance from the terminals. Very comfortable, quiet room. Plenty of space, very nice bed and bathroom. Breakfast on-site was great, and it was easy to check out and get back in time for our next flight. Couldn't have been more convenient.

We loved our stay! Was a two night stop over between flights (NZ to UK); the beds were very comfy and large, the room a good size and clean, with a great shower! The restaurant served delicious food, the pool was refreshing, and staff helpful and friendly. Oh and the absolute ease getting from the airport - hop on a little train at the bottom of the terminal and takes you straight to the hotel, total highlight for our toddler, plus staff organised helping get our bags to our rooms and the airport. Everything you what you want for in between long flights!

This also made it impossible for me to get wifi, until I went downstairs to the Desk. b) A room in the North Tower meant walking outside in the cold rain. Who invented that architecture?
