pretty well updated and maintained considering how old the hotel is. location is great and safe if you want to be in the Wakefield area. desk staff was friendly.

if you get a room by the Lakeview it’s very pretty. Close to Salem and all other surroundings. Like Boston tea party. Plymouth Cape Cod Mayflower the room service was polite. And the morning staff was awesome.

Loved the GM! Needed coffe in the room! Expected a restaurant to be open! Understand that COVID and hard to find help these days are a problem! They need to improve the exterior and get better furniture for the lobby.

We had a hole in our blanket and there was some scheduling confusion at check in. Our room did not face the lake which was a bit of a bummer.

The room just needs a little updating, the fridge was hard to open because it hit the bed but it was doable. The main thing that bothered me was everything was unplugged so I had to figure out which one the TV was. Tavern was closed due to COVID which is understandable. Nothing that would keep me from staying again.

It was quiet, clean, for the price we paid it was good. The bed was really comfy. It was 25 minutes from salem which is what we traveled for. It was nice to get out of the chaos of the city. The shower pressure and temp was amazing.

The room we got was kind of cramped. Really needed basic up dates and touch ups I’m the room. I’d have paid a little more if it didn’t have as much messed up drywall areas. Needed more vending machines too. The only one was out of water the entire time.

There was no housekeeping for a two night stay. There was no breakfast. Not even a coffee bar set up.

The lakeside was pretty. However hard to see thru windows due to broken seals and permanent discoloration.

Smell, cleanliness, pillows, price seemed very high for the value. Advertises bar/ restaurant at the hotel, but it's not open.

Location and lake view was pretty, bare necessities were met and the size of the room and bathroom were good. Mini fridge in room was nice to have.

The beds were very hard the shower looked very old and the bedding had stains the ac didnt work that well the person that checked us in at night was not that helpful the lady in the morning was ok the bed made it super hard to sleep it was that hard

The hotel stank, carpets in halls trashy and worn, bathroom had no space for 2 people, bed sheets had stains, room very small, entryway a gathering place for smokers and no easy access to put the butts so ended up on the ground, entry rug and ramp. I've paid a lot less for a lot more.

The hotel is very run down and in need of renovation. Our room, although large, was dark and dingy. There was a strong smell of cleaning products, but no visible sign of them being used. We were unlucky enough to arrive on an evening when the restaurant was being used for karaoke which is an experience we will never forget, but not in a good way. We had to wait nearly an hour for a very average meal of fish and chips which we ate in a cacophony of noise.

Our room had a nice view of the lake. The reception staff, especially the guy from Turkey, were very pleasant.

Building is old, no elevator. Tub was backed up so taking a shower filled the tub with water. There was some type of mold in the bathroom. Restaurant located on the first floor of the property had some crappy DJ playing music too loud past midnight-I didn’t pay for a room to be disturbed by an act/event the hotel booked and put on themselves.
