Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwedenThere were long lines for the breakfast every morning. They also forgot to clean our room multiple times and when we asked them why they didn't clean it, they couldn't answer why.
The staff working at the hotel were super friendly and welcoming, assisting with everything we needed help with. The hotel was super cozy. Nice breakfast with fresh fruits and juices. Easy parking outside the hotel.

TurkeyI booked a superior king room with balcony, 2 beds and a sofa but the sfaff didnt give me my reservation, they gave me a double queen room instead. The balcony was very dirty and there was somebody emptying out the ice machine every morning that poured ice and water all over our balcony.

LatviaThe staff and service: 1) long check in and check out time as usually there was someone with a problem and just one person servicing them; 2) person at the bar was with the attitude I am disturbing him; 3) at the breakfast we were not asked for the room number and seated but ignored. While everyone was sitting with a coffee and normal forks and knifes, we were given plastic ones by the lady when we asked. After it was fixed. 4) First morning I had to sign paper bill for eating breakfast with the promise that it will not be charged as it is included. But second morning no one asked. So, during check out as the lady was busy and after my question on the final bill - I was told that everything will be charged from my deposit - however I should not be charged at all. Still do not know if I will be charged for something.5) Cleaning ladies were not talking in English (!!) And they even did not understand the word CLEAN when I asked to clean my room when it was not done till afternoon.
