Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesOur room wasn't clean. My husband spilled water on the kitchen floor, filling ice cube trays because there were no ice machines. I dried it with the kitchen hand towel provided, and the towel came back black. It was white when I started. The sink in the bathroom leaked. We had to dry it every morning and every evening. Breakfast was "grab and go" with little to no options.
Everyone on the staff here was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel was within walking distance of the Chesapeake Conference Center, which is where our daughter's college graduation was held.

United StatesThe sheets were not clean. It had black grease like stains on the pillowcases. The silverware was not clean. The stove gave off a black residue. The fire alarm is majorly sensitive and can be set off at very little and inconvenient times. When the alarm goes off the staff does not try and evacuate the building. The bathtub was stopped up and could flood. The breakfast was not even breakfast. There were a couple muffins and granola bars and coffee. Nothing filling and nutritional. The water was foggy and had a weird taste to it. The taste was not like regular faucet water. Some of the staff were unprofessional and seemed bored if their job.
That it had a private bathroom and dining table. And the lights that were beside the bed.

United StatesSome friends we were traveling with stayed on the first floor and had a bug problem after the firs night and had to change hotels. While we didn't see anything in our room it caused me to be wary the entire trip. The stove was old and while we didn't use it some other guests did and caused the fire alarm to go off around 11 one night and apparently that had happened while we were gone earlier that day as well.
The beds were comfortable, and our room looked clean. There was a full fridge which worked well. The staff was friendly and when I explained my skiddishness of staying on the first floor they were nice enough to move us to the 4th.
