Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanThe AC worked but was not cool at all. Although the weather was quite cool during our stay, you don’t know when guests will need it. The elevator was Long waiting during rush hour.

GermanyThe check in.. we really had troubles finding the office (tower 2 4 floor) and when we arrived the office was closed and envelopes were outside without any names just room numbers, but we never were informed which room is ours.. they provide numbers which you can call but for us this was not possible with our sim card. One of the numbers provided had WhatsApp and helped us then.
Very good for the price !! Especially as parking is included. Our room was clean and we didn't have any mold or anything. Very nice location!

United StatesIt took numerous calls to obtain a key code for the unit. I was advised by email that the unit number and access code would be provided within 3 days of arrival upon telephone inquiry. However, no one answered the telephone number provided, nor returned my calls. Hawaiian Sun Holidays is closed Sundays and Tuesdays, and I was not advised by phone or text that the key code would be left on the office bulletin board. And I had no idea where the Hawaiian Sun Holidays office was located. I had to call the Emergency contact to be advised on the day of arrival of my unit number and access code to the unit. The unit itself was very nice and clean, and love the location of the condo!
Location was great as I love the Kapiolani Park side of Waikiki. Parking on-site was very convenient. Unit was spacious and clean, if a bit dated. Overall a good stay!

AustraliaHaving stayed at the Waikiki Banyan previously, we missed the little extras such as body boards, snorkelling gear, beach umbrella etc that were great last time.
Free parking was a bonus and the location was great. Pink trolley stop was close by and it's only a short stroll to the beach.

United Statesjacuzzi could be a little bit bigger to match the size of the hotel/resort. Yes, there were 2 jacuzzi but it only fits 4 people each comfortably. Washer and dyer in floor 14 tower 1 was not functioning properly but each floor is equipped.
Hawaiin Sun Holidays was perfectly location in the heart of Ku'ho street. 1 block from Waikiki beach and less than a mile from all the yummy restaurants and hole and wall eateries. The property provided free parking which is a plus since majority of the parking fees in Waikiki are between $30-$65 per night in addition to whatever "Destination fee" each resort charges which was $110 per night at The Courtyard by Marriott down the street. For beach lovers, fresh towels and beach chairs were provided but no umbrella. Balcony view was the best part, partially looking over Diamond Head and pool side view.

CanadaThe only slight downfall was we had rented a large SUV (Nissan armada) and it was too tall for the parkade . There’s a strict height restriction which we weren’t aware of so we had to park in the zoo parking lot which was 1.50$ an hr and 2 blocks away.
We stayed in room 703 and 704 and it was amazing. They provided everything you could possibly need. A fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable king bed, pack n play for our baby, umbrella for the beach, 2 sand chair, beach towels, sand toys and life jacket for our daughter, vaccuum so we could keep our place as sand free as possible. Laundry basket, dish soap, salt and pepper, coffee, ice cube trays and ice cube bucket. They have on site management which is great. The Murphy bed was comfortable. They also provided a room fan which was a nice bonus. The views were so nice. One room faced diamond head and the other was facing the city and the ocean. There’s an in room safe, and a tv in the living area and the bedroom. 2 hair dryers and the 7th floor had 2 washers and dryers down the hall which you can use coins or an app for. The location is also amazing!! 1 block from the famous Waikiki beach and it’s at the part of the beach that has a breakwater wall on all 3 sides so it’s AMAZING for little kids or just anyone who doesn’t want to have to deal with waves. We also used the pool and play structure which was such a bonus for a young family and they have tons of BBQ’s you can use for 2$/hr with seating space. Also a lot of people had complained about long waits for elevators in previous reviews. Zero complaints. Never waited more than a few minutes and we were a big group with 4 adults and 2 strollers.

AustraliaOne of the best value for money locations on the island. Big comfortable king size bed, good size living area, great location to beach, shops and zoo. Free parking which is a big deal, however just be warned as it is an old building our Chevy Suburban was just to big to fit in there, however swapped it for a smaller van and had no issues. We had 3 rooms and they were all next to each other. Couldn't have been happier, especially for the price.
