Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt was extremely windy (we went in early June) and the wind was particularly strong in the pool area (on the 5th floor of the hotel) in gusts. This is no fault on the property but there were small children, that did things that kids do like splashing in the pool, being boisterous etc. so if you travel while school is out that is something to take into account.
The property is very beautiful and updated. We had a harbor front room that was large with the nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a hotel room. The hotel is located right on the harbor between two beaches, one of which is a giant park where you can swim, surf, watch surfers, etc. Their pool was very nice with a few cabanas over looks the harbor and you see the great views mentioned above.

AustraliaThe hot tub - was continually accessed by children and their families - there was no adherence to the time limit and this restricted others from accessing it.
Our entire stay at the hotel was of a good standard. Room request was met, rooms were spacious, clean and well supported. The Club Lounge staff were friendly and the food options always available and well presented. The pool area was always clean, plenty of chairs and the separation between children and adult pools was enjoyed.

United StatesKept finding things floating in the adults only pool- I wish they would have kept it a little cleaner. The elevators in the Ala Moana tower also seemed to be slow as heck with 2/3 seeming to be working while we were there.
Our room was exactly as pictured- felt even bigger in person. The view was incredibl. The pool views were incredible and loved the infinity pool was adults only. We took advantage of renting a cabana and the staff was so on top of our needs it was wonderful.

AustraliaI loved this hotel and would return there in a heartbeat. It's not in the centre of Waikiki, so you have to factor in the cost of buses to and from Waikiki. Havubg said that, it is a walk away from Ala Moana shopping centre with its handy food court and lovely shops. The Prince is in its own little marina area which is stunning to look at, is quieter than central Waikiki with lots of comforts around it. Our room was spacious for 2 x adults and 2 x teenagers. We'd return again in a heartbeat!

United StatesI did not like the price of the breakfast buffet. $31 is steep. I usually like a cup of coffee with a bagel or English muffin, so to pay that much is terrible. My husband and I found a nice quaint breakfast spot, just minutes away called Sunny's.
Prince Waikiki is in a prime location. Just minutes from everything. The mall, the beach, to the boats for daily excursions, the ABC Store, restaurants, etc. The staff remembers who you are and who you're with. I would go outside and let the outside staff know to tell my husband where I was waiting for him and vice-versa with me to my husband. I thought that was exceptional. The room was comfortable and held excellent views, (photo attached). The toilet was warm when I sat on it! I hadn't realized it was a bidet! Yup! So enjoy that while you can, LOL! I even looked forward to the elevator ride, which also had a nice view of this mountain. I submitted a picture of the view. The water stations throughout the hotel came in handy. I was so worried on the plane as to how we were going to have water because I drink a lot of it. I was worried I would have to keep buying expensive bottles daily, but nope! Prince Waikiki has water stations throughout, and they even supply you with a complimentary water bottle to keep filling. And do not worry about spending money on shopping bags because they give you that too. So don't forget to grab it on your way out, just like anywhere else, you will have to purchase a bag whether at the mall or store. They take care of you here. I would stay again. We never had to take an uber or lyft. We walked everywhere saving us lots of money .
