Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe pillows could have been better. We will probably bring our own pillows next time. What happened to the Gideons Bible being in the hotel? Anyway, There was not anything else that we had problems with. Thank you.
The room was spacious for a hotel. We enjoyed not feeling like we were in a confined space. The shower is also nice, as good as a guest room in our house. The young man that greeted was nice enough, though I would suggest he speak a little more clearly. Thank you.

United StatesRoom didn’t have a blow dryer, but was provided when requested. There was no remote in the room. The remote provided upon request did not work. Second trip to front desk- Remote- did not work. THIRD trip to the front desk- they gave me batteries with it just in case the batteries were dead-they were-put in new batteries and it finally worked!!! These are things a good maid should have noticed, because once you’ve checked in, you want to relax!!!
Breakfast was & had a varied selection from which to choose. All was continually being cleaned as people were finished & left. My room was clean & very comfy! 👌

United StatesThe desk staff wasn’t overly friendly when I arrived 30 minutes before the official check in time. I asked if it was possible to check in and with little to no emotion checked the computer and told me the room wasn’t ready. They made no attempt to be more helpful than that. So I went and drove around the neighboring parking lots for 30 minutes. The desk staff didn’t act as if they were enjoying their job.
