Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaGuest's tend to walk in and out all night, slamming doors and sometimes the police end up there but that's not that properties fault. That's just inconsiderate guests. I feel the staff put in 110% which is great and all of the other nearby budget options look like crackhouses. So i recommend staying here if you want to so Hollywood on a budget.
The price is great for the location. You are only a street away from Hollywood Blvd. It's also close to a 7 Eleven, Danny's and Ihop so there's 24hrs The room's were pretty clean, the housekeeping are fantastic and acutally tucked a stuffed toy my partner got me into the bed which was adorable to walk back into.

United KingdomReception was the rather impersonal guy behind a screen scenario (as opposed to welcome you'd get at high end places), a homeless 'camp' was unfortunately just up the road on the pavement, not the hotels fault as you see them a lot.
Cool budget hotel...it's great location on Sunset Blvd....just a block away from the most popular spot on Hollywood Blvd and Hwood/Highland metro stop. 7-11, chick fill a and other stores nearby. Room was good, clean, comfy bed, TV, etc

IrelandFor a basic hotel it was great. Super comfy bed. I was allowed check in three hours early for $20 which was worth it as it was pouring outside and I really needed sleep. I was able to store my luggage on my last day before my flight. Found the staff very helpful. Location is ideal for Hollywood tourist stuff.

United StatesBathroom door lock does not work, there was no trash can in our room, there was a 10p years old TV, water leakage in the parking garage. I saw the staff was rude with another client.
The location was good, it's beside Hollywood. You can even see Hollywood sign from your room.

MaltaThe area to be fair made me feel a bit uneasy due to the many homeless, but the hotel staff are very helpful when you need something. Also the area raises a lot of curiosity about Holloywood history, so much so that I went to research about the area. It seems like it was once a grand place in Hollywood. I propose the owners to publicise its history.
Overall the stay was good. While in the area I sensed something mysterious, not just the hotel but all the surroundings. I recently discovered that the location where this hotel is located has quite an extensive history. In the same location the grand nephew of Samuel Morse inventor of telegraph, stayed for sometime. I did not know this but only found out from research as a result of my curiosity. I suggest the hotel owners to share a bit of this history with the visitors. I found it quite intriguing myself and had no idea about how many things happened in this location (Writers club, restuarant, home to some notable people etc). Today unfortunately the surrounding area is a bit run down with many homeless around, which make you feel a bit uneasy especially at night. I do not know why and how this happened and how recent this rundown is. To be fair the homeless people never did anything to me. If you are alone like I was I suggest taking a UBER after dark, but this is so for many places in US.

United KingdomThere was quite a lot of homeless outside the property, and although they were harmless it might be an issue for other guests. The sheets on the bed were wafer thin so I did not sleep that well. The noise from other guests on certain nights was colossal, and the room lacked attention to detail in some areas such as my bathroom light was hanging off, as was the toilet roll holder & the soap dispenser for the shower.
The staff were helpful, and took care of my case that had been lost during my flight over from the U.K. They we’re on hand at all hours to honour any requests. The location was excellent, situated just a block etc away from Walk of Fame and within walking distance of a lot of Hollywood attractions. The WiFi was good, and the shower was hot. The reception area offered a lot of guides and tours leaflets on LA & a stocked fridge with waters and sodas. The maids cleaned the rooms regularly and changed towels daily.
