Hotel room bathroom cleanliness was unacceptable. Carpet in room was filthy and hadn’t been vacuumed in days.

Front entrance and lobby area? Entrance is car- focused. Entrance - door, decor and lobby are dull and drab and need to be enhanced- with a few more comforts and style- make it look more inviting. Duncan Donuts is a very poor choice as a tenant - brash with unhealthy options.

Front staff were helpful and cheerful. Bedrooms spacious and clean.

We were charged for some incidental. I called and the gal said “parking”? I said, no that was included. She said she had to transfer me to the front desk and no one answered. I am not happy and waiting to dispute with my credit card company.

We didn’t know there was breakfast. The location was great. We went to comerica park.

The first room we were given was sweltering hot with an overwhelming chemical cleaning smell. I talked to staff at the front desk and they were apologetic and very accommodating about getting me a different room (yay!) along with a small comp on the rate. Awesome. But, it appeared that the AC was broken or only half working for the entire duration of our stay in Detroit (3 days) because it never could bring the temperature down to a comfortable level. Often it was the same ambient temperature as outdoors but without the benefit of a breeze. I brought my partner along as part of a datecation and they're a hot sleeper and really struggled with it. We made the best of it by spending most of our time out in the city, but it would've been nice to be more comfortable at the actual hotel itself.

I stayed here before for a concert last year, so this was my second visit. The renovations are excellent and well executed with a comfortable and aesthetic lobby. The rooms are modern with great views, and the hotel is in close proximity to a ton of cool stuff. While staff are sometimes busy, I always found them polite and helpful. I don't gamble, but all of that stuff is there if you choose to partake - and it seems like the main draw for many of the people coming and going.

Casino was mostly smokers. Was going to gamble but could not stand the smoke. The non-smoking areas to gamble were tiny.

High floor, great room although small and compact. Had everything you would need. Great views of the city and surrounding area.

Staff were slow , and sometimes refused to respond It’s a training/management thing not personal thing (I hope) Example: 2-4 parking staff vs 1 receptionist Safe and scale were not working, we asked for help , 3 times , no response

The bathroom sink was blocked and took an hour to empty after any use. Despite reporting the problem twice no action was taken. Rather spoiled our impression of the hotel’s attitude to paying customers. A bit take it or leave it like.
