The room was facing the street and although I was on the 12th floor it was super noisy, day and night. The corridors were poorly lit and someone was smoking in one of the rooms so it was quite smelly.

The room was super comfortable with a lot of space (Premium Queen). The bathroom was also spacious with all the basic amenities provided. It was close to Lower East Side but the commute wasn't very convenient.

I need coffee making facilities in the room. I had to bring my own kettle and ask for paper cups. No glasses to drink water from - seems odd (cheap?) for a boutique hotel. The fridge was also the smallest I’ve ever experienced - really not worth it. I also don’t rate the bed design - keep cracking ankles on the wood surround Also the USB chargers by the bed didn’t work.

Style, atmosphere and location all great.

There isn't a coffee maker in the room, the room is very dark and most of all the bathroom is for the size of a child. You need to lean over to look in the mirror, and I'm only 5'6". There is minimal space to keep your toiletries in the bathroom. However, the room (corner king) was exceptionally large for NYC.

Cannot beat the offerings at the hotel with the restaurants and bars. More than any hotel I've ever stayed. Big plus is you can get into the nightclub with your room key, especially when there is a line down the block! The restaurant Comodo, in the hotel is absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and I loved the free bottle water in the lobby.

The room was very small for 4 sharing, although there was only 3 of us there was not a lot of space within the room for bags etc and it felt very cramped.

The bunk bed room is an excellent idea for a family group with slightly bigger kids aswell as friends sharing a room. Decor is lovely and the vibe of the hotel is really cool.

Room was quite dark and faced in at a wall, but we were only staying one night and not in the room a lot so not too much of a problem for us. Relatively expensive for a smallish, dark room but in the current very high Manhattan prices this was a reasonably deal when compared to others. We wouldn't have been able to afford more than a night or two though. Would have been good to be able to make coffee in the room. There only appeared to be one person on reception at checkout but you can checkout online to avoid lines.

Location is central if you're traveling as a tourist. The Flatiron area has lost of restaurants and good access to the subway. Walkable to many areas. Room was relatively basic but nicely furnished with a modern bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and we appreciated free water to pick up in the lobby.

There were cockroaches in the room that was alarming. Considering we were on the 17th floor, the building has a cockroach infestation that needs to be looked into.

Great location and room was pretty spacious for a hostel room. Loved the rooftop bar and club on the second floor with great music. The staff was super welcoming in the lobby and there was free water bottles in the lobby. Also the breakfast cafe and restaurant comodo were perfect.

Beautiful old building in a very central location. I walked most of the time to wherever I needed to be. The room I stayed in was the smallest one, but it was just fine for 1 person. Bed and shower were comfortable. My room was on the 16th floor and it was quiet, I slept really well. Unfortunately I didn't had a chance to see the rooftop terrace, because it was closed on Sundays. I did have dinner at the Comodo restaurant downstairs, which was very good.

The dark carpet made the room feel a bit dark and uncomfortable for me. You can never tell how clean a dark floor is, so I was little uneasy with that. Also, the windows are not thick enough to drown out the constant noise from the city.

I liked the atmosphere and the vibe. The lobby and the restaurant were nice. The bathroom was small but clean. The rooftop bar was really nice. The bed was comfortable. The staff was nice and I liked that there was water available in the lobby.

There was nothing we did not like.

We liked the decor, especially the wall-sized, freehand drawing above the bed. It gave the room a unique feel, different from a standard hotel room. The location was very good, within easy walking distance to theatres and eating places. There was more space than I had expected, considering it is a New York hotel in Manhattan.

Shame about the metal plates in the street outside, clanking for every car. But not much the freehand can do about that.

Excellent location, quirky fun decor, very comfortable.
