Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt started with transportation from the airport. First we could not get anyone on the phone. Then when we finally got through it took forever. The transportation guy was great, but ease of systems was not. It was subpar. I didn’t like that was no stairs access in the building. The building seems a little run down.

United StatesThere is a lot of upkeep that needs to be done. The elevator is amazingly slow, our refrigerator did not work, and our TV did not work so we had to get moved to a different room. The evening front desk staff was not at her post numerous times when I was needing to call to inform them ofthings not working properly. Unfortunately, this happened multiple times and the girl was never there.
It was nestled away and its own little area with a pretty lake right behind the property

Jamaica- Unfortunately, the hotel is dated. - Carpeting in rooms are worn. - You can tell that the face basin over time has not been cleaned well. I had to do some scrubbing to rid it of a film of dirt that shouldn't have been there if regular cleaning was taking place.
- The staff was exceptional. Very attentive, informative and helpful. - Location was good from the airport, which is what I needed. - Grounds were nicely kept

However, I had to switch rooms three times during my stay, which was incredibly frustrating. The first two room changes were due to doors that wouldn't close properly, compromising security and privacy. The third room change was necessary because the shower was not functioning, leaving me unable to take a shower.

The first two room changes were due to doors that wouldn't close properly, compromising security and privacy. The third room change was necessary because the shower was not functioning, leaving me unable to take a shower. Additionally, my experience with the front desk staff was far from pleasant. A young lady at reception was particularly unprofessional and rude, displaying a very poor attitude that made the situation even more unpleasant. While the housekeeping staff did an excellent job, the overall experience was marred by these significant issues. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
