Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe sofa bed was a bit disappointing. And if the room is for 3 people then please take care of 3 seats in the room and not 2.
Beautiful room and large bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Parking in front of hotel.

United StatesWe liked everything about Five Pines. Sisters is a bit of a tourist trap, but we only go there to relax at Five Pines anyway.
Cabin was beautifully appointed. Bed was soft and cozy. Loved the huge tub and the walk-in shower. The breakfast was light, but just right. Parking was close to our cabin, but the walk to the lodge or breakfast was a bit much for my 78 year old knees and back. The drinks reception was very much appreciated. The pub next door was a comfortable spot to relax a bit. Oh, and the front desk recommended restaurants in town. We chose Chops and found it to be excellent $$$. And the front desk showed us how to get into town without going out onto the packed highway - Memorial Day traffic was really jammed.

AustraliaMaybe getting up and down the stairs to our room wasn’t great, but that’s only because I have bad knees!
Five Pine was just an amazing place to stay. Attention to every detail was what made it stand apart, and the friendly and informative staff added to the experience. Our room was so comfortable and within easy access to the township and the brewery.

United StatesJust the bed topper that made us both sleep too hot.
The cabin was lovely, the furnishings very nice , the 2 big chairs in front of the fireplace/TV were wonderful! The only thing I didn't like was the foam topper on the mattress because it makes me waayyy too hot (but I know a lot of people like them, so ...... ).

NetherlandsWould have been nice to have forks and knives and extra glasses in the room. But we got what we needed and they gave us extra glasses when we needed. (We were getting take out food from nearby restaurants)
The cabin was outstanding in every way possible. I mean, it exceeded all expectations. We were in the classic cottage, too, not one of the fancier ones. And it was FABULOUS. Hot tub with opening into the living room, great TV and sofa for lounge on and amazing bed. Access to the gym, which was amazing, right next to the lodge. It was one of my best hotel / resort experiences in my life. And I have been all over, in fancy ski resorts in Italy and Austria and this place (I know it’s not a ski resort but we were there in winter) was the best ever.

United StatesIf you order breakfast in your room, you have a few items to choose from but the selection isn’t great. We did enjoy our stay very much though. The town is really cute with lots of fun shops and some good antique shops. We have visited Five Pine several times over the years and still enjoy it every time we come back. We love the town of Sisters!
The location was good. Five Pine is in a beautiful setting. The breakfast was not too exciting. I would go into town for a much better selection. Three Creeks restaurant is on site for lunch and dinner.. It’s very good and there is an awesome theatre also on site that shows new movies that we especially liked.

United KingdomNothing to dislike really but an upstairs WC would have been a bonus.
A luxurious quiet room with a separate day room and separate let bedroom. A really good space to stretch out and relax. Good entertainment facilities in both areas and a really useful kitchenette. Excellent bathroom. Nice breakfast. Excellent location in the Ponderosa Pines and close to town.

United StatesBreakfast was too expensive for what was offered. Since I booked through booking.com, I payed $15.00 for breakfast which did not include any hot foods, just scones, cereal , muffins, juice, coffee, yogurt. It was expensive for just a scone and coffee. However, the happy hour with 2 drinks at 5pm. was very nice. Being on my own, I met new friends and had a great time. Loved my room, but too bad that I did not receive my 10% rewards off from booking.com. I paid the hotel directly and they do not recognize that deal.
