Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bahamas1.Paying $20.00 per day for parking, which prohibited me from renting a car, which would have been nice considering the Uber & Taxi services are about $17.00 per way to where I needed to be each morning. 2. Not knowing how much one pays as a security deposit, or receiving an itemized bill outlining the charges to one's Credit Card at the end of one's stay. All of the money on my Credit Card was on hold, despite the fact that I had more than was needed to cover the bill and security fees. Upon enquiring about the cost on two separate occasions. There was never a clear answer on the amount.
The breakfast staff was committed to giving the best service. The food was varied and in good supply.

The location was not clear until we got there. It was further away from where we needed to be. The showers were amazing. The best part was the amazing and super professional and friendly the breakfast staff was. They were the heart of the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful though it could use more fruit. United StatesWhen I was looking for the property on this site, I saw that they had on site parking. However, it did not say that the on site parking was paid. We found that out when we got there and were a bit surprised at that. Especially since we had stayed there before about 2 months prior and did not have to pay to park there. It would have been nice for this site to mention that parking was paid early on in the property listing so that I would have been prepared for when the front desk passed along that info.
The room was cozy and quiet. We were situated near the elevators and ice machine for our one night stay and there were no interruptions from noise which was very nice. The bed was acceptably comfortable. The room was clean and well prepared when we got there.

Newly renovated exceptionally clean hotel. Good value for DC if you don't mind being a few miles from the Mall area. It is steps from the Natl Arboretum where we were attending a wedding...so great location for us.
