The room I stayed in had dirty floors after my shower i would go to my bed to put clothes on go to put socks on my feet were filthy from dirty floors , used soap and shampoo in the tub.The evening's would get cold, but the heat didn't work . Outside, there was trash 🗑 everywhere all around the shrubs and plants, bushes over grown, The back patio was overgrown and needed to be weed eater bad with trash everywhere .

The beach ⛱️ was nice and clean and enjoyed walking early mornings 🌄 and late evenings .

My trip included myself, my friend, my daughter and our dog. We drove two separate vehicles and only were allowed to park one in their lot. Was told by one staff member we could park our second vehicle there after the weekend ( busy days) for free and then when Monday came a different staff member wanted $50 per day! We ended up having to park my friend’s vehicle down the street a few blocks in a public parking garage.

The location is great. I literally opened the front door to the grass where my dog could go potty and on the other side of the grass is the boardwalk and the ocean. Our main reason for always choosing Ocean 27 for our Va Beach stay!

It wasn’t the cleanest. They could’ve vacuumed a little better clean the sink in the tub a little better they had to give me another room. The refrigerator was dirty. The pool was not very clean either all they had to do was turn the pump on.

Hidden fees for pets. The room is in terrible shape. The towel racks were broken. The tub faucet dripped loudly the whole time and left water spray on the floor. The AC barely works. Lastly, the furniture is ripped, scratched and feels like its about to collapse. Also beds are full size, not queens.

Location was great and parking was included. Pool was clean and in a great spot. Pet friendly.

The pool wasn’t dirty but it wasn’t clean. I didn’t see anyone taking care of it our entire stay. We never saw a housekeeper and I had to go to the front desk and ask for clean towels. No information was given to us about an ice machine or anything and I didn’t see any anywhere. There was some type of “splatter” on the wall by the one bed, not sure if it was paint or dried blood. And I had to physically unplug the alarm clock by the bed because it started going off at 10pm and did it every fifteen minutes even after I turned it completely off.

Charged 8 a night for Oeanfront when ad stated Oceanfront when I booked Sink didn't drain I plunged and didn't help reported but never came to fix My sister had to change rooms commode wouldn't flush No room service I asked to use vacuum told me no but they wouldn't do it We had to take our trash out and go to office to get our towels and put used in a bin . I am most upset because of the 8.00 charge per night I would have never booked there if it didn't say Oceanfront .Then for them to charge me 80.00 for 2 rooms is wrong That is a false ad..Period!!!

At first glance, the room looked clean. For the price, I was not expecting Buckingham palace. It could've been dusted more. Dust was visible on the bathroom sink. The fridge was cold, and the freezer was covered in ice. The microwave didn't work, and when told; the office said someone would come to look at it. No one came Also, be prepared to pay additional fees once checking in. We paid on the app and thought that was it. We had to pay an additional 125 when checking in. It was still a great price for the location. We stayed 3 nights and it averaged 148 a night. Not bad for an ocean view. That cost is not mentioned in the app. And it has to be paid before you can get checked in. The pool was nice. Although the filters should be checked regularly. There was a plastic bag stuck in it our entire stay. And a pile of dirty towels was in the corner when we checked in, and still there when we checked out. I understand that it's a family owned hotel. This would be a very nice hotel with some TLC. A coat of paint. The bathroom poles for hanging towels on couldn't be used because the hardware was falling out of the wall. Overall, for the price we paid, I would stay here again. We didn't take any pics. We were at the beach and in the room only to sleep.

It was a great price for the location. Our room was facing the ocean. It was clean enough, not filthy. A lot of the reviews for this hotel were bad. There is furniture stashed in stair wells... WHO CARES. We were there to sleep. There were cigarette butts on the balcony, and the plastic 5 dollar chairs from Walmart were not pristine white. WHO CARES!! Reviews about bedbugs.. There were none in our room. We have no unexplained bite marks or rashes on our skin. There are some reviews about bugs in general. When we first checked in, we looked for evidence of bugs. No droppings were found. The sheets were clean. Nothing on the walls or in curtains. We checked the mattress. It is safe to say there were no bugs. When the balcony door was left open, bugs flew in. Close the door. Problem solved. On our 2nd day, a horse fly got in. We named him Greg. He stayed for a while. The carpet is kinda sticky and ripped in some corners. It's an old hotel and ON THE OCEAN. Wear shower sandles and treat it like the local gym showers. The ac is old but worked well enough. The paint on the wall is stained... WHO CARES!!! YOU'RE ON THE BEACH!!! The pool was sparkling. The ceiling didn't leak. No bugs. TV and remote work. It's a pet friendly hotel. The other guests' pets were great. Not once in our entire stay did we see an owner not pick up after their pet. I'm not saying it doesn't happen. You may encounter poop. Walk around or be a good citizen and pick it up. I was fully prepared to confront any guest who didn't clean up. But I didn't see any. Most of the bad reviews could be chalked up to cosmetics. It's an old hotel. It creeks and smells kinda funky. junk in stair wells. No elevator. The website clearly states no elevator. WHO CARES!!! Request ground floor.

The pool was gross and green(closed), multiple items in the room were broken, the towel racks in the bathroom were remounted multiple times and they never bothered painting the old holes. There are over 10 holes with putty on them. The shower leaked and spray sideways.

There was no breakfast, just a fridge and coffee machine in the lobby. The location was good but they tried to charge us a early check-in and another random fee to be put on the floor of my choosing, the checkin time sign was later than what was listed on booking.com. It was only after I showed him the app he let us check in. The location is good which is the only thing going for it as the rooms were not nice. More of guys retreat if you plan on fishing all day and drinking all night. I wouldn't reccomend it for families.

We had internal toilet issues that it keep running on and off so it was very annoying we had already been there for 2dys and didn't want to pack all our stuff up and move to another room, mosquito tore us up , the dog owner was not picking up poop so the Flies was surrounding our back door walk out area. I guess they are renovating, we had too many chairs, but for the price we paid what I can you expect..we just dealt with it
