Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBed sagged in middle and pillows were uncomfortable so we didn't sleep well. Bedspread weighs a ton and should be replaced with something lighter. Caulking in bathtub in room 222 and hole under sink needs to be repaired. When you walk into hotel there is kind of an old smell. There is a breakfast room so some breakfast should be available.
Room was clean and bathroom was spacious. Air conditioner wasn't noisy. Location was nice and relatively convenient. East Norwich Bagels and Greek Cove were right across the street and had good food. Hotel's history is interesting. Price is more reasonable than other hotels in area.

United StatesThe night manager has a terrible attitude. We checked in and went directly to our room. The door key didn't work. I went back to tell him and he gave me an attitude like I am an idiot who doesn't know how to use a door key. He asked if it ever worked. I said I checked in less than 5 minutes ago. Obviously no. He re-keyed and explained to me how to use it (which I obviously knew since you just swipe it like a credit card). I went back up and it still didn't work. The key reader on the door was dead. I went back down and again he was annoyed because he was trying to watch a movie on his phone. He then gave us another room and it worked fine. So much for hospitality. :(
It has a great restaurant in the same parking lot and a deli a few doors down. It's located in a lovely area.

United StatesSqueaky shower in room 201, bathroom fan noisy with clacking sound. In terms of decor, flowery bedspread style from 1970's, flowery drapes and valance/cornice very dated, carpet old and felt sticky to bare feet. You should get rid of all bedspreads and cover beds with white coverlets, like modern hotels have. I was also charged an unexpected $449 by, I believe, booking.com. They gave me no prior warning of this charge. Apparently, that was a hold, that was released after I left the hotel. It was a terrible inconvenience to me, and caused me hours trying to straighten it out.
Comfortable bed, good tv, very small bathroom, but new bathroom fixtures, very good price, good size bedroom. Best place for the money in Nassau County.

United StatesIt would be nice to have a continental breakfast. Even coffee, tea, juice and muffins would be fine with me.
The rooms are clean and a good size. The location is great. It's right on 25A and route 106. Both of these roads give easy access to restaurants, shopping, arboretums etc.

United StatesBreakfast would have been nice. Water faucets in shower and bath were differently challenged. Sink sprayed everywhere. Shower was low flow. Drain was slow. Parking was challenging - not hotel’s fault - more the individual parkers.

United StatesThe second floor rooms were only accesible through stairs and the front desk staff were not very friendly. They only provide you with one key regardless of the number of people in the room. No breakfast included. They still have old style comforters. They could refresh the room decor a bit.
Location was great. There were several bakeries and delies walking distance to have meals. It was very nice to learn the history of the hotel through the pictures featured on the first floor hallway. Parking was very accesible, and the facilities were clean.

United StatesIt has a 1970’s kitschy look to the interior of the rooms. Think Howard Johnson meets Days Inn circa 1975. They did have a flat screen tv, so that was a surprising modern touch. I think they have rotary phones with the little light. The AC unit is old school, but does the job. It was clean. The main common Hallway is nice. It is a great value, but it is not the Hyatt Place. Don’t dream of asking for early check in or later check out, nor breakfast. Head to the East Norwich Deli. The guys at the front desk have the charming plexiglass barrier to protect them from what I don’t know. Just scream under the plexiglass. They guys have a real NY / LI sensibility, but they were nice and efficient. Overall , a solid 7 to 7.5.
Location, location, location. On Long Island’s fabled Gold Coast. Near Rothmans Steak House and Oyster Bay.

United StatesThe day reservation clerk was not as friendly as the night/regular reservation clerk. The regular reservation clerk is older, and he has been with the Inn a long time. He may even be the owner.
There are only vending machines. The Breakfast Cafe closed during the Pandemic and never reopened. There is a nice bagel shop across the street and a bakery just down from the Inn, on the same side as the exit.
