Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesAir conditioners are old (there is no central air conditioning, each room has its noisy unit near the window)... It is close to UTSA but you cannot get to campus due to the crazy highway in construction, very noisy, scary hot and humid. At the price I paid ($500 for 2 nights) I expected an area shuttle to UTSA campus, as I came here for a meeting. The hotel has not shuttle. Also, upon checkout I had to ask 3 times for z 0 balance receipt for my employer as a proof that I stayed at this hotel indeed, and the Booking receipt was not cancelled.... The staff could be better, They should smile (they do not) and some of them greet you with "an attitude" and quite a bit rudely. I paid 50$ for Uber rides when the hotel was booked just because it is half a mile away from UTSA. By car, it is 3 miles due to going around the loop... What did America become? Everything is a contorted loop and distances do not mean anything anymore. The area is rural and not walkable I would not move to UTSA for a million dollars!!!
The restaurant food is great, and so are the chef and the host. I also liked that they changed my noisy room near elevator to a room farther away from the elevator. The rooms are clean, the beds are of good quality. The air conditioners are noisy boxes, so sleep does not come easily...

Plus the clean crew without checking threw away my daughter's gift for her friends birthday because they just threw bags away that were in my room. I will definitely next time make sure that no one is allowed to enter my room unless I ask them to.

United StatesI did not like not having a scenic view. I was also disappointed with the restaurant service, as I was not waited on initially. Fortunately, the front desk person intervened and went to the kitchen to see what was happening. However, when my meal arrived, it was not cooked through, and the waitress never checked on me. In fact, the only times I saw her were when the food was delivered and when it was time for payment. I only hope this was not something personal.
I loved how the room was quiet; I did not have to worry about any loud neighbors. The maid service was friendly and always smiling, which made me feel very comfortable, as it was my home away from home. Marvelous!
