Staff at the reception need to be more professional. At least at the beginning in the check in they need to explain somewhat how the hotel works. Instead I had to deal with everything by myself and the first person I saw at the reception didn't even smile at me. First impressions count and that wasn't a really good one.

Very central, close to the subway station. Clean place, good value for money, considering that this hotel is in Manatthan.

The room was very aged with torn wallpaper. The window didn't open. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

    Location, staff.

Room was OKAY for a budget hotel, but this was expensive! Bathroom looked newly renovated at first glance, but it was pretty much broken. Water drained very slow, so when you shower, the bath tub fills up with dirty soapy water, and trying to set the water temperature was a hassle(two big knobs on the wall on the side of the shower). All parts in the shower were rusty and loose. air condition unit made a rustling soind on the lowest fan setting, which went away when turned up to high, but then the breeze was a bit strong for such a small room, noise or wind seemed to be my 2 options.

Staff was very friendly, helpful and personable, A+ for staff! Room was clean, good area, right next to the subway, free coffee/tea and water in the room, coffee maker,

Very run down and not fresh smelling

It was across the street from our daughter’s apartment. Not far from the Hudson River or Central Park. It’s super close to the Subway stop. Lots of great places to eat near by

Cramped rooms and no room service.

The location is close to the Metro 1 line and the property was ok for a one night stay. Typically small Manhattan style rooms but workable. The Chinese man overlooking operations was helpful and went the extra mile to guide us.

Although the room is old some elements should not be completely destroyed. Like the tiles in the kitchen that were falling off or the toilet which was was wabbly.

The hotel has a very authentic style. I had the feeling of staying at a real New York apartment, not a common hotel room. The view from the room was great. The bed was very comfy, had a lot of pillows. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout the entire stay. The location perfect, with the metro a few meters away and a few shops open 24/7

the wifi was terrible. The carpets looked very dirty, I didn't walk around without slippers on, but not much you can do about that. I always make sure to clean frequently touched places the minute I get anywhere- when I wiped the phone, remote, and bedside table, the wipe was literally brown lol. Also no hot water in my room. But overall a decent room. I also stayed in the bronze suite which is the cheapest you can get!

The staff are incredibly friendly- Specifically Justin at the front desk, he was so lovely to talk to and just all around amazing. Lots of places to eat around too, my favs were City Diner and the pizza/falafel/literally almost anything you could think of place right across the street!!

Facilities could use a renovation. Air conditioner had a gross layer of dust on the filter. Linens felt cheap.

Convenient location 10 minutes to midtown. Quiet room and friendly staff. Great rates for a business trip on Memorial Day weekend.

Just the first step inside will tell you what kind of hotel this is. The building needs renovation. We had to ask for a different room because we were put in a dirty, urine-smelling room (Floor 4) The windows were so dirty that you couldn't see anything outside. I demanded a room change and we received a nice, clean, large room. The 12th floor.

    Comfortable bed

The hotel needs a lot of upgrades, the elevator is pretty noisy with a bumpy ride. The room needs newer carpet and updated bathroom fixtures. I think they painted it and call it quits. The bed was comfortable. Desk and chair are uncomfortable, however, the WiFi was good. I was expecting more for the price.

The one thing that this hotel has for is the location, easy to get access to from the Metro station, less than a block away. The neighborhood feels relatively safe.

The half dead roach on the bathroom floor when we first walked in left had me skeeved out for the rest of my stay. There was no water pressure trying to shower and the air conditioner didn't do a great job cooling the room; I woke up drenched in sweat.

The property is a little tired. While the room and linens were clean, the room itself could have used a refresh overall. The furniture was tired and rundown. The bath tub needed to be reglazed or replaced, it was in pretty rough condition.

The location is great for a weekend in the city on the Upper West Side. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to city transportation, dining, shopping, etc. Met the needs for the clean, safe, quiet place to stay while visiting NYC.
