The property is beautifully kept. We were surprised by the access to grills for dinner Nice big bomb fire to sit around. We used the pool during adult hours, took the nature walk There was access to canoes, bikes, yard games and more that I cannot think of currently

It was great to have free access to kayaks for traveling on the Crooked River. The staff went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. This place is the perfect vacation get away, with plenty of outdoor options to enjoy in the surrounding areas.

The chef left something to be desired. My son has egg and nut allergies. The hotels we have been to in the past are happy to answer questions and let you read labels to see what is safe. He told us, “if he has allergies then consider everything not safe!” He let us read label on one bread package after we insisted. There were options he could have, you just have to read the labels. We purposefully went at 7am when no one was there yet. When we asked about the biscuits and gravy he mockingly said, “consider it all contaminated!” Then said, “you don’t have to ask about the eggs too. They have egg in it.” My son was near tears from the man’s remarks. It’s hard being different, then have someone act like you aren’t worth their time.

Loved the freebies; popcorn, tea, water, coco, coffee. Pool was clean. The loft with the pole table and family friendly games is amazing! 99% of the staff was AMAZING! So clean! I read a book in the boat house while some of the family took the row boat out. It had chandlers and comfy chairs. The fire pit with the hot coco was so nice early in the morning and late at night. We used their grills for lunch and dinner.So much to do on the property! Highly recommend!

I feel this was a perfect stay, I would recommend to anyone to stay.

Rooms were very clean as well as the grounds outside. Staff was very informational of surrounding things to do. Pool and hot tub area was very clean also.

Nothing.....maybe the pool could be a little bigger 😂😂

I was truly surprised at the breakfast.....Not only was everything organized and clean ..but the food was well stocked, the eggs were warm and delicious. And they had a little bit of everything. Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, donuts, muffins...and it was all super yummy. We Loved it!! And the location was very easy to find,band close to Petoskey.....We will definitely be back....

Loved the room and beds. Very good variety for breakfast. Love the outdoor firepit! We extended our stay for an extra night. Good location...lots to do in the area. We stay there at least once a year. Talking to other quests staying there they all loved it!

I thought it was a little pricey, but it was pretty

The hotel was beautiful. The room was spacious and so pretty. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free water, tea and popcorn was great. The kids loved the kayaks. We will be back to stay.

Breakfast was pretty basic but okay.

Beautiful and well maintained. Easy to park and short walk to yummy restaurant. Nice walking trails. Great fire pit. Lovely to sit on the balcony and look out at the lawn and river. Good “up north” lodge atmosphere

This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in as a family. Everything was gorgeous, and the setting was so peaceful and beautiful. Stafford's had gone above and beyond to think of every detail to make our stay comfortable and provide extra fun - yard games, hot cocoa and coffee and water in the lobby, the hidden play area for littles, the incredible fire going all the time, the games upstairs, popcorn, and an INCREDIBLE continental breakfast.
