The shared bathroom was a bit challenging as the other user was in there often.

Patrick was very responsive, the place was clean and it was a short drive to the airport.

Perhaps Booking.com glitch as I never received the host's messages about parking at the back or how to enter the property. it all worked out in the end.

I felt like I was visiting my aunt in England. it was homey with lots of different rugs on the floors and unique personal touches. my Queen bed upstairs was light with windows and feminine touches. Bed was comfy and warm on a rainy day. Free wifi and water bottles. nice welcoming touches. Park at the back. Close to gas, groceries and a few places to eat. Kitchen available if needed. 2 other guests were visiting from Germany and Poland.

Several steps for my upper room but not a deal breaker.

Comfortable for the day sleeping I require. Was exactly what I needed for the week. Owner helpful in getting setup up on arrival. Eclectic decor...but comfortable.

A little farther out than I would like. That is a small thing compared to the positive.

I note no negative points, except that the house numbers appear to have been randomly allocated up and down the road. They are not sequential. How the postal services cope is a mystery. Once I located the house, it was great. I think I'd be erecting a large sign in the front garden to allow easy distant spotting.

Cozy homestay was excellent. It is ideally located in a quiet residential area. My room was comfortable, had a charging point by the bed, and had air conditioning, a ceiling fan, good lighting, and a heater should that have been required. Patrick is a good host and knowledgeable on the area, and matters in general. It is the first accommodation in America where I had access to an electric kettle, and it was a joy to drink black tea for the first time in a month since leaving the UK. Parking was available in the drive.

Location was a bit far from St Louis, Uber/Lyft 25-30$ but that’s what you’re paying for. Would be perfect if staying before a flight however

The room was spotless, both bathrooms spotless - host clearly cares about his property as he was constantly working on his property and other rooms whilst I was there. Patrick was a really nice guy, always on hand to help!

Guests may just need to be aware that being an older house, any downstairs noise, especially voices, are quite loud. Even so that didn't stop me from sleeping sooo soundly. And Patrick, you need to stock tea and long life milk lol.

What a room. It was amazingly presented and the bed just swallowed this tired traveller up. Was definitely going to go back there, but my travel plans changed, so never made it, sadly. I had jumped on a plane to get there from NZ for a funeral and was totally unprepared for travel in the US. Patrick was so helpful, allowed me to stay extra time and helped advise me to book a train, a taxi and organise the rest of my day. Super caring to a lil ol' lady who was totally out of her depth and frankly wondering what on earth she had gotten herself into. I feel like I made a friend.
