There was no toaster or dishwasher, but we managed without them.

Loved the location and that checkout was not until 11am. They had bikes to borrow free of charge. DVDs were free. This is a wonderful location right across the bike path from the beach. It was a beautiful last night in Kauai.

No lift but not really a biggie, as it was only 3 stories high. Was unsure how clean the pool was, but that may have been beacuse it was a Salt water style pool.

Location actually was better than expected unless you wanted and paid a lot extra for a beachside room. The location was in the middle of Waikike and the eateries etc. The property was more like the older days when you had all the rooms surrounding the pool. It was not oversize in that its only 3 stories high. The rooms appear to have been fully renovated quite recently. 100m walk to "TheBUS" stop. Inlcuded microwave. Had local evening entertainment during the week.

The place was quite old and really in need of a touch-up. Simple things like a coat of paint would have really gone a long way.

The location of this hotel was it's best feature. The pool and nearby beach were nice as well. All of the items that were available to borrow, i.e. towels and chairs were quite useful.

Door looked like it had been kicked in. Inadequate lighting in the shower. Had a kitchenette, but no plates or utensils, though we were able to borrow a few items from the front desk. Room had been updated to a certain degree, the side tables. Tv and armoire could use replacing. Didn't have hot water the first night we were there.

Their are some cosmetic issues like old wallpaper and walls were a little cracked up.

The view from the room was amazing. By far the best thing to see waking up every morning. The bed was comfortable and it was real quite and peacefully around the hotel.

Very expensive and not a good value for money for a room which has a street view. Kauai is however very expensive in general.

Despite our room had a street view, the isolation seemed to be good, so no noise. The room was spacious. We were offered a banana bread by the madam who used to run the hotel, very kind of them.

The staff from the family run hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our ocean view room had a sensational view and very close to the beach for a swim. The free push bikes were a great way to see the coast from the coastal path. The historic village, Kapaa, was a very laid back friendly town.

Having a ocean view off my 3rd floor lanai was great, where it was fun to watch the tropical downpours come and go one morning. The bed was comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my room. Riding a loaner bicycle was a highlight, down to the south end of the wonderful long path. Walking into Kapa'a was so close, and I would love to stay again.

Really nothing not to like. The room could use a little updating and paint but it was clean and everything worked fine. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in a ground floor room and could walk out easily to the lawn and on to the beach. The room was well appointed and comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, restaurants were within easy walking distance.

Room had no small table, desk or "landing" spot for anything. Had to pull nightstand out from wall to plug something in and there was old, used plastic bag and huge amount of dust bunnies. The interior of the microwave had not been cleaned for awhile.

Location is excellent, Kapaa walkable from hotel. Beach is yards from rooms, walkable from here too. Lovely pool, clean. Bathroom new and clean. Comfortable beds.

Nevertheless, the rooms are oldish with a lack of light (we were at ground floor). They would need a small maintenance refresh and it would be nice to include basic tableware to the rooms.

We had a great stay at Coral Reef with a very warm welcoming with an homemade banana bread. The hotel is very well located in Kappa town, walking distance from all shops and restaurants. The beach view from our room was a delight, we had couple of happy hours and breakfasts from the room terrace to enjoy it.

The rooms could use some TLC. Our room carpet had a lot of stains and the walls could have used some paint.

Excellent location. Right on a small beach area and next to a lengthy bike path. Free bikes were provided. The property is located on the eastern shore and provided a good center point for heading north or south. The small town of Kapaa had two grocery stores and several restaurants and food trucks. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It's a little older and shows signs here and there but it didn't take away anything from our enjoyment or comfort. This is a great hotel.

Clean, comfortable and the beach access can't be beat. This is a great spot to stay in Kapaa with great parking and access to lots of nearby restaurants.

It could have been a little cleaner and it was a bit sad that there was no possiblility of breakfast. Nevertheless, lots of wonderful acai bowl/breakfast places and cafes nearby so that was okay!

I liked that there was a pool and the location was quite nice, when you want to go around the island :) the room was nice, air-conditioned and very well sound-proofed. Didn't hear a single rooster through!!
