We were early but told our room was not ready. Our friends who booked room through the hotel web site were able to check in early. We both paid the same rate but their room was far superior. Work started on the roof above us at 6:30am. Complained but nothing happened. Hotel billed our credit card even though we had already paid booking.com. In the process of refund.

One of our 2 room key cards didn't work, the steam room did not put out much steam, a big disappointment for me.

Location, helpful staff, we especially liked Glen, relaxing outdoor sitting areas, responsive housekeeping Loved the toiletries, especially the lotion. Comfy bed, large room and bathroom, so nice to have private toilet!

This level hotel should have room service, as they used to partnering with a great restaurant next door. It was disappointing because it took away from the complete relaxation offered.

For over $500 a night, it seems to me that it's reasonable to ask that the toilet should be separated from the bedroom by more than a cheesy two-panel louvred sliding door that latches with hardware bought off Home Depot's racks of screws and bolts and installed, from all appearances, by a ten year old boy scout. The rest of the bath is very nice, but as an old fashioned couple, my wife and I prefer not to share our toilet sounds. In addition, there was some kind of animal nest in the walls behind the room and whatever was in there woke us at 2AM most nights with a lot of scuffling sounds. When we told the staff about it, they seemed more amused than inquisitive about how to solve the issue.

The location is terrific; a short walk to the ferry into San Francisco, a great restaurant (not affiliated) on the ground floor level, and an easy stroll down the esplanade. The bed was very comfortable, and the balcony was really relaxing, facing away from the setting sun so you don't roast in the evening. Maid service was first rate.

We were a little disappointed in Sausalito as a whole. Not great options for dining and not really great shops. However, that’s not what we expected out of our stay as I said before it was just a quick overnight stop and for those purposes it met all expectations.

We booked Cassa Madrona as a quick overnight stay on our drive up the coast. It definitely met our needs. Clean easy to access quiet.

Our room overlooking the harbor was wonderful with a small deck on the 4th floor. We enjoyed our morning coffee watching the sail boats and people.

The staff is exceptional. The location could not be better as you have access to San Francisco in minutes. There is an outdoor veranda with fireplaces making this a very quaint and inviting hotel. Clean and spacious rooms.

The men's stream room broke during our stay. And the feather free pillows were gigantic, I ended up with a sore neck as a result.

Location was perfect, everything was walkable in town. Great staff, wonderful harbor view room. Women's steam room was delightful. Gym small but good. Great views.
