Cons: Most of the hotel staff (except for management) speak ONLY Spanish. While I managed to communicate with some using gestures, others couldn’t understand even when I wrote down and translated the phrase into Spanish on my phone. This wouldn’t be a problem if we didn't have to communicate with the maids, who either came at inconvenient times or couldn’t access our room for cleaning. During our week-long stay, we received 3 or 4 notes saying they couldn’t enter our room when we were not there. Once is okay, but failing to open the door 4 times is unpleasant. The beach and parking service were also disappointing. The staff seemed too relaxed and undisciplined (unlike other hotels where you are usually greeted and helped with your luggage—here, they didn’t even offer). Both TVs in the room didn’t work. The toilet flush was not working properly.

We stayed at this hotel 6 years ago and loved it so much that we decided to return and repeat the wonderful experience. This time, our impressions were mixed. Pros: The hotel is still at a decent level, though the design and interior are somewhat outdated and lag behind modern comfort standards. However, this is not critical. The rooms are large, spacious, and comfortable. The beds are the best I've ever slept in, very comfortable (the vibrating mattress feature is a unique pleasure). The cleanliness of the bed linen is amazing; I have rarely slept with such pleasure as in this hotel. The location is excellent, with the beach right at the hotel’s exit. If you book a room with an ocean view, you will have an unforgettable experience—it’s worth it. The restaurant quality and service are still top-notch.

The mattress has an automated app to adjust for different firmness but wasn’t working. I called and was told an engineer would come up in 5-10 minutes but didn’t come or fix the problem. Not that we had a less good night sleep, but if you’re told that there’s a mattress Contrôle available for every bed, at least one bed should be able to do the job.

Loved the location, 2bedroom suíte, Spa was great. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and once for dinner and the food was delicious. Employees were nice and respectful at all times. We’ll definitely come back

The menu for the Strand was very limited in choices and overpriced for what you got. There was no comfort or bar food so sitting in the bar area was not attractive.

I loved that it was so easy to get to the beach from the hotel. The pathway was easy and the bubbling pool of water made it easy to clean the sand off my feet. There were lots of places to choose from where to sit outside and it never felt crowded.

I was annoyed by thee false fire alarms within three days. it’s especially disturbing early in the morning. it’s stressful to decide whether to stay put or leave with your valuables. I decided to wait. Thankfully, when I expressed my stress to the staff, I got a discount on one of my treatments

Great staff, and wonderful treatments at the spa. It was easier than usual to book facials, massages and other therapies because of the season.

The restaurant and bar offer limited menus and the prices are excessive considering the simple ingredients and plain fare. The fitness classes were also very limited compared to previous years.

Dining at the restaurant is extremely expensive. some amenities and treats aren’t available (free bottle of water , turning out at night,printed schedules.

Excellent treatments at the spa with outstanding therapists Friendly staff The facilities are now open fully as they were in the pre-Covid era. Access to the lockers and spa facilities is now open

It used to be an exceptional hotel- I’ve been coming to relax and recuperate there since 2008. Unfortunately in a recent few years it’s getting worse and worse. It’s very sad for me to see how resort is offer less and less and charging more and more

Its too expensive for what it is. Its a 3 star hotel with 5 star prices. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite (with pull out sofa, kitchenette, and view of the ocean). The sofa bed's mattress was 1" thick (and had a stain on it) and made it impossible to sleep comfortably for our daughter. They did provide a roll away the next night which was much better. For $1600 per night, we expected more. We waited until 345pm to check in and it seems as though the room was cleaned in a hurry and not completely--the bathroom wasn't as clean as it should have been.

Location is excellent....right on the beach with staff helping with chaises/food. This was the best feature of the hotel. The room was quiet and had a nice partial view of the ocean.
