I did not love the cleanliness. All that is needed is a deep clean once a week. There was cleaning but it was only a light clean because of the amount of rooms. A deeper clean would make people feel more at ease and happier with their time spent at this hotel.

No furniture at all to put things on Bed was rather small and flimsy. only one small pillow No control on the AC Light, smells and noises from other rooms are definitely noticeable and very annoying The bathroom floor was always wet and it never had toilet paper

The location was great, right in China Town, in walking distance of many places of interest and right next to a Subway station, many resturants and shops nearby.

There were bed bugs and there was no ceiling in the room. This means that all of the people who are sleeping next to you can hear each other. There will be lots of beggars you can see in and out of the place which makes it kind of disgusting.

Tbh~ NYC is kind of a very expensive place so we cannot expect much for the price that we pay. But the place was good and it was accessible to most of the places in NYC, that most of us want to go. The place is very near to Bower Station. The staff was very nice. You need to pay a $20 deposit just in case you lose the key.

The Hostel was dirty, I had to spray the room several times for Roaches. The temperature was hot, and the rooms did not have central air, so it was stuffy at night. Also, being that there are no ceilings for each room, you can hear the noise from the street and the other attendees at the Hostel. The heat and bugs and the noise were the biggest turn-offs, the room is small, so it's difficult to move around in. The staff were friendly enough, and for the price, maybe you can't expect much more.

The location was great, right in the midst of several nice things, China Town, SOHO, Little Italy, minutes away from Brooklyn, and NYU. Great location. The price for the room was also great.

very small room you couldn't move, big as a hole and not clean, open ceiling with a metal mesh and therefore every noise can be heard ... place to be closed, I'm surprised that in Manhattan they don't check these places...

There was no room cleaning service. No Cleanliness of the hotel lobby and always had a bad smell surrounding the hotel premises. No elevator also. A lot of house flies and small fruit flies outside the hotel room. Lucky, my hotel room has no flies. No hotel room side tables and the hotel room is very very small.

The location was good. The streets nearby very overwhelming and almost anything you can buy. I like the New Yorkers and they have brilliant minds.Absolutely. Very easy to reach locations nearby by Subway Trains. I truly hope that Subway stations will become excellent in the future.

The ceiling was open so you could hear everything and everyone's business. I'm 6'10 and couldn't fit in the bed.

Very very small bed. Even not enough for a single person. The size of the room was smaller than the size of a normal bed.

However, these positives are where the good points end. The room felt like a prison cell, measuring about 6.2 feet by 4 feet. The bed took up the entire length of the room, which was too small for me, forcing me to sleep crouched. The walls didn’t go all the way to the ceiling, leaving the top open with a fence, so you could hear and smell everything from neighboring rooms. I could hear guests watching movies, talking on their phones, and even, unfortunately, when they farted at night. The air in the hotel was thick and the AC was broken, making it uncomfortable to stay inside. The room had only a bed, with no nightstand or other furniture, and was lit by a single, harsh white lamp. Everything was very dirty—I didn't want to touch the walls or the floor. The restroom was shared among everyone on the floor and was even dirtier than the room itself. I even saw a dead cockroach in the restroom.

I recently stayed at the Grand Bowery Hotel in Chinatown, and while it had some positives, my overall experience was far from pleasant. This 1-star hotel was the cheapest option I found online at $70 per night, and it is very centrally located in downtown Manhattan, which is convenient. The staff were nice and helpful, and the bedsheets were clean. They also provided basic necessities like a towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and shampoo. There is no hairdryer.

This property doesn’t have any room you can say boxes without roofs very small ,dirty and fishy smell all the time. Main door is steel door with auto door closing system and make huge noise at night time dirty and broken washrooms.

Very dirty, and the walls are very thin. You essentially stay in a small cage and can hear everyone else talking. I feel unsafe and the facilities are dirty. It is bad value for money for $50 a night

The rooms are too tiny and open top/wire mesh is not appropriate because some guests smoke in the rooms and the smoke easily spread across the block. The rooms are not cleaned during the entire stay and cleaning between guests leave a lot to be desired. Further, some people sleep on the reception area and some people hang around the entrance which compromise reputation. and comfort of guests. The staircase is not friendly, guests are already exhausted and such a punitive ascend is the last thing you need before you rest. Consider installing a lift.

The location is okay as it is easily accessible, and it is closer to supermarkets and stores.

Located in Chinatown, not really rooms.. more like a storage unit. No ceiling wall, you can hear everyone around you and they can hear you. Bonus, there was a bed bug in the room I was given. Had to ask to change to another, 'room'. Overall shady place that is cheap to rent out. Oh, and the bathroom is communal and tiny.

Need to improve more on cleanliness - smelly when you get into 2nd floor as you entre the main door , same with restroom. Also lobby / reception no waiting area - there’s a black man renting in the reception area not good to see. Make the reception area clean snd remove any obstruction.
