It was on the highway and the bed was stiff

The room was very dirty and outdated. Wallpaper was ripping in the corner of the room and had an odor to it as well. Changed the room, again outdated dingy looking and again wall paper appeared to have gotten wet cause it was peeling off the wall. Rugs in both rooms were stained.furniture that we were supposed to put our nice clothes into had been banged up and chipped.

When I got there, another customer was complaining about how strong the chlorine scent from the indoor pool was. Then I found out that the outdoor pool "wasn't up and ready yet / opened" which was bizarre to me since it was such a hot July month! To make matters worse, BOTH of the only 2 treadmills in the exercise room had "Out of Order" signs on them. An outdoor pool and exercise room were big factors when we were choosing which hotel to stay at. So it really seemed like it was FALSE ADVERTISING. I did receive a slight discount for complaining, and the manager was overall courteous (but not apologetic). I would only stay there again if these two matters were fixed and guaranteed. The room's wallpaper had tears in it and it looked just a little bit rough, but I will admit that it was very quiet and clean. I slept well there, just disappointed in not being able to be poolside outside and not able to get on the treadmill.

The outdoor pool was closed, I just wish they would’ve said that on their website. There was a day we planned to stay at the hotel and relax by the outside pool. But not a huge deal as we came for Hampton beach and the indoor pool was open

I liked that it was a close drive to the beach very convenient! The room was everything we needed! No one bothered us and we came and go as we pleased!

The pool room was definitely dated. Need some work also the hot tub it was gritty and felt like it was falling apart, and there was no fire pit, which I was highly upset because I wanted to hang out at night after a long day of walking

It would have been better if we were informed that the only way you get your room cleaned is if you tell the front desk in advance. I was not made aware of that when we were just told to sign for the room. I was not told to read anything.

We loved the rooms and beds were extremely comfortable.

Even though we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, we didn't receive room service. We had asked them to come by our room to bring extra towels, but they didn't come while we were away. Other than that, our stay was great!

The hotel is in the perfect location for tourists! It's only a few minutes away from the Kittery Outlets as well as other shopping centers. The restaurant (The Roundabout Diner) was awesome, and a pleasant surprise since we didn't know there would be a restaurant attached to the hotel. My friends and I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

The breakfast (voucher) at the next door diner was laughably terrible. Gross food and not much of it. Needless to say we did not return after the first time there. I would be surprised if this was the first time you are hearing about this place.

The facilities are tired and in need of an update. Due to the long weekend the hotel jacked up its rates. The room was not worth the $450 we had to pay.

Well located right off the highway. The staff were very pleasant and professional.

The facility could use some updating/improvements. The wallpaper in our bathroom was peeling and the sink drain was a bit clogged.

The Best Western Manager provided us with good travel tips. You could tell he was proud of his facility and the City of Portsmouth. Really appreciated the free parking -- a pretty rare thing for New England hotels/motels.

The shower door didn’t close so it leaked water all over the floor. The toilet didn’t flush properly. The top sheets had stains on them. The vending machine didn’t work and the outdoor pool was dirty and had other peoples towels all over
