We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe walls were extremely thin and we didn't sleep at all due to a loud family near us all night. We phoned reception at around 3am to report but still the noise continued. Both of us were jet lagged and this was an awful start to our road trip.

United States of AmericaUnlike most Santa Barbara hotels, this is in the middle of a local neighborhood, popular among nurses and other hospital employees as its near the hospital in Santa Barbara. My husband and I had three friends visiting during the few weeks between homes, so we hadn't anywhere to put us all up. Here we rented a two bedroom townhouse, with 1 and a half baths. My husband and I took the king room, gave the other room to our female friend and let the two guys sleep on the pull -out couch. Each bed and the couch had a television to watch, and got several HBO and showtime or max paystations. We had a full size kitchen, fully outfitted, and a nice full size patio, with several chairs and a table, fenced for complete privacy. It was ideal for our situation. Spotless. While we didn't use the pool or jacuzzi, they certainly were popular. I did have some laundry and I used the coin machines they have for guests. To wash it was only $1.25 and to dry was just $1. There is a little restaurant on the premises that has an enormous aviary, which is fun to watch if the conversation lags. It certainly met all of our needs. The staff was friendly and helpful, which is always nice.

United KingdomIn a residential area, took about 45 mins to walk to Santa Barbara downtown and one hour to walk to the pier. The pool was a nice size but not very warm.
Free coffee and fruit in the day was a nice touch, the jacuzzi was lovely although not well signposted. Breakfast in the cafe was lovely.

NetherlandsIt is noisy - you hear neighbours from upstairs and sides, you hear their air-conditioning unit. The windows are not soundproof, in fact, they have holes for ventilation. So you hear every car passing by on the road behind the hotel. And the hotel equipment and furniture is like 50 years old .

FranceJust a little bit too expensive for what's on offer, having stayed in similarly-equipped establishments around California during the same period, but I guess that's part of the nature of reserving accommodation. There's a slight gap at the bottom of the bedroom door that was large enough to make it so that the cold air (on the night we were there) overpowered the best efforts of the heating/AC unit in the room - basically we had it on full heating, but it never managed to get warm enough. The location, while nice and quiet, and definitely in Santa Barbara, is far enough from the beach or center of the city that you do need a car, but Best Western does offer other (albeit comparatively more expensive) locations in the city to cater for this.
Hotel in a quiet location with parking in front of the rooms, a pool, and even a small independent café in the parking lot. Very clean and comfortable rooms, with a nice bed, bathroom and television - equipped with a fridge and bottles of water and biscuits on arrival next to the coffee machine.
