Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing everything was exactly what I expected.
Well what can I say! Great hotel for not only the value but you have the beach on your doorstep! Loved our view and our room. The water bottles you get are amazing and so cute. If you’re having a beach day need to take full advantage of surf candy for your little bits. Staff didn’t really get involved because everything was perfect.

AustraliaI paid my back for the bed, mattress is slanted and super soft, suffered severe backpain after 4-night stay. No glass for brushing teeth. Quite noisy even we were staying on 9th floor,
The oceanfront view is the only selling point of this hotel, and maybe the valet parking service, however it's kind of pricely.

AustraliaNeeds a small dining table in room. No kettle but you can ask for one. Pool area is lovely but the tiles around the pool area are the slipperiest I’ve ever encountered. I nearly fell several times and watched others do the same. Please put some kind of coating on them before there is a serious accident.
Very central to everything but away from the flashy built up end of Waikiki Beach. Opposite the ocean pool which was super handy . The restaurant here is the best we ate at during our time in Hawaii - we ate there many times. Rooms super comfortable, large and beds amazingly comfy.

AustraliaThere was nothing that we didn't like, but an improvement would to have a small couch to sit on in the evening.
The location was perfect we were able to walk where we needed. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The fact that we could hire a car for the day there was an added bonus.

United KingdomQueue for the lifts; plenty of lifts, but when you scan your card you are given a designated lift, which is all you can use. the Balcony was small and close to our neighbours. We found we could not use the TV, as it was saying it needed to be linked to our phone via a QR code, unfortunately we could not make it work. that said, i was not happy our only option was to link my phone to the device. even though we were high up, we found the road was very noisy with seriously loud supped up cars and motorbikes passing, also, there was a high level of Emergency vehicles passing with the sirens activated. the decor as you walk down the hall to our room was very clinically white and bland, such a shame compared to the lower reception floor, which was vibrant.
the room was clean with all facilities, including hairdryer, ironing and board. i especially liked the shampoo/conditioner/shower soap, really nice. tea/coffee facilities. paid for Beach view, however, be careful, as this does not mean front facing, in our case side facing, however, our view was great; facing West across the sea. room was pleasantly quiet at night with no disruption from neighbours.

United StatesHard to navigate elevators at first, lots of traffic noise on oceanfront side. Hot time of year to visit so lack of air conditioning was tough in restaurant and pool area. Beach area was crowded and sidewalks were a bit crowded.
Location to Waikiki good, close to shops, nice and easy free rental of beach chairs and umbrellas

United KingdomI didn’t like the fact that I had to pay a “holding charge for collateral damage fee” of $250 as soon as I checked in late at night. First time in Hawaii and never had to pay this type of thing in other US states. The receptionist, Trinity, said that it would be refunded when I check out, but still no refund. On top of that I still owed another $49.54 despite paying for my room all in advance, apparently something to do with the ‘exchange rate’. I was tired and didn’t want to debate with Trinity and so that I could just check in I ended up paying $300. It kind of put a bit of a damper to the start of my holiday. I’m aware of the so called resort fees but from my understanding it was all included when I paid via Booking.com. I mentioned to Trinity that this charge was not mentioned when I booked my room, Trinity explained that this charge was because I was staying for two weeks. This needs to be mentioned by Twin Fin when booking via 3rd parties. I’m still waiting for a refund. Not happy and because of this, I’ll be staying at a different hotel when I next return to Oahu.
Great location.. less than two minutes walk to the beach. Honolulu Zoo around the corner great if you’re with a young family and aquarium further down the road. Decent swimming pool. Comfy waiting area on the ground floor. Lots of really good restaurants and bars nearby. 15 minutes walk to get to the famous malasadas at Leonard’s Bakery on Kapahulu, well worth it and you can walk off the calories! Friendly staff at the bell desk on ground floor that showed great Aloha and hospitality. Also if you’ve booked a day trip the pick up spot is literally in front of the hotel.

AustraliaFor being a 4 star, it lacked the 4 star amenities, such as the cost of breakfast at 50 USD per person including per kid, when you can go down the street to get a perfectly great breakfast for half the price. No room service for food, lack of drinks in bar fridge for optional cost, the need to use your own phone for movies when you want to relax at night. sliding glass doors need to be adjusted as they very stiff to open and can hear your neighbour as well trying to open the doors. At best this is a 3 star hotel.
location is excellent right across from the beach and various restaurants in the area.

AustraliaBig well-run mid-range hotel on Waikīkī Beach. We had a twin room on a high floor with a lovely partial view and although the fit-out and hotel are not new, it's well maintained and clean, so had a very pleasant stay, food options all around on the street, the beach right across the road. Free filtered water stations in the hotel were a bonus. The pool isn't huge and lots of kids enjoying it, so left it to them as the beach is just across road with warm ocean water, and hotel provides beach towels etc. Plenty of sun-beds to sun-bake or read. Paid for one breakfast at the hotel, it was okay but so many other options close by. The busy staff were great, from reception to housekeeping dealing with a lot of guests in big busy hotel, so hats off to them, it would be a busy job and they do it with a smile.

AustraliaIn the rooms it was literally a sheet for a duvet cover, so I found it very cold. I’m sure in the past they’ve had proper duvets. No ironing board just an iron. No spare pillows or blankets in the cupboards.
This is our third time here, and we stay purely for the location. You can’t beat the beach right across the road and it’s slightly quieter down that end.
