Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWhen you take a close look the interior is pretty dirty. The walls are dirty and the breakfast buffet was dirty as well. It was pretty busy and layout for breakfast was pretty small for as active as the resort was. With the setup and traffic flow, the area stayed messy. Food choices were minimal and only water or ice tea served with the $38 price tag .
Perfect location!! Across the street from Waikiki beach, near plenty of shopping and restaurants.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is nice and clean, but it's much smaller than expected. In comparison to the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa which sits directly across the street, this hotel is lacking. Also, where on the property does it allow for any real Ocean Views without a building smack-dab in the middle of the view obstructing it? My room, while it was a partial ocean view, there was a huge tower sitting right in the middle of the view, and I can't imagine there is truly anywhere on the property that has a clear view. Even on the rooftop with the infinity pool, that same huge tower is blocking a clear ocean view.
The hotel is in an excellent, walkable location, which is right across from the beach. It's also located on Kalakaua Ave., which is basically the Waikiki "strip," so this allows you to pretty much walk to all of the touristy places like The International Marketplace, Moana Surfrider, The Royal Hawaiian Center, and The Hilton Waikiki Village to name a few. Overall the stay was very comfortable and pleasant with decent views of the ocean (partial views).

AustraliaOnly four elevators for a busy, 39-story building meant there were times when we waited a long time for an elevator. This was exacerbated by the fact that one of the four elevators broke down for the last three days of our stay. So only three functioning elevators meant long waits.
Close proximity to the beach and many activities (eg, Luau). Walking distance to everything in Waikiki.

AustraliaThe rooms were dated and not as large as the images on the website indicated and were very obviously ‘edited’ to look spacious, bright and freshly renovated which they were not. We arrived really late at night for our first night so didn’t notice until the next morning that the room had not been cleaned appropriately prior to check-in with surfaces visibly dirty, particularly the shower. I had to request the room to be cleaned again and even after a second clean I ended up cleaning some of it myself. The bathroom was incredibly tiny too, making showering my children difficult. The lobby was very grand and the hotel was well located but for the price we paid I was expecting much better quality and service. The lifts were always incredibly busy and slow showing the true age of the building. Our first night we were woken up by an alarm at about 4:30am and again at 5:30am, when we attempted to investigate whether or not to evacuate the lifts on the 37th floor were not operating and with many other guests on our level unsure of what to do. It took almost 10 minutes to get through to reception over the phone only to be told it was a false alarm and that an announcement had been made but this ‘announcement’ had not come through to our level.
The pool area, Lobby and location are good.

United States of AmericaThe room itself was surprisingly basic and I don't think they've been upgraded in a long time. No major complaints with the room, but I understood that the high price of this place is based on the location and all the onsite amenities and services. We were there for our honeymoon and it was worth the splurge, but if I ever went back to Waikiki I might look for someplace cheaper.
Absolutely killer location in the heart of Waikiki and right across the road from the beach. Wide variety of amenities and events and services on site. We had one meal in the main restaurant in the lobby and it was very good, plus the backdrop of the giant aquarium was beautiful. Very service-oriented. Elevators are fast and onsite parking is well-integrated into the design once you figure out the best access points.

Location is perfect, just a few steps away from the beaches, restaurants and shopping places. We got a full ocean view, and enjoyed our time at the balcony. The room size is a bit small, but sufficient. Services are satisfactory: we asked for extra towels, and they were delivered quickly.

United States of AmericaDid not enjoy the pool. It was nice to sit out and tan or soak in the hot tub. However it’s also connected to a restaurant, Swell. Which serves decent food but makes for a terrible experience with birds literally circling around the entire area. It also seemed very hard to get a hold of the front desk. I would have to call several different times or make the trip all the way downstairs just to ask a question/get any amenities.
The hotel was beautiful, lobby was spacious and had a modern and simple feel. Hotel rooms (stayed in a standard king room) were clean and had the same minimalist look. Overall very clean and comfortable.

United States of AmericaNo complimentary breakfast or coffee. The room offering pay breakfast was closed for a private event all the days we were there and the only other option was to pay for coffee and sweets in what was the Italian restaurant at night. The coffee pot in the room was expresso only.

AustraliaThe rooms have very poor internal soundproofing indeed. We were bothered by a crying child in an adjacent room and were unable to be relocated as was requested. The main reason for the relocation request was because the adult male in the room next to us continued to smoke on the balcony. We advised the hotel staff & security attended but it meant our balcony was unable to be used at times. Our room had an internal door for between room access & the noise & light coming from the adjacent room was increased because of that.
Overall, a great hotel. The Pool deck area was very good. The king bed was very comfortable. The staff were attentive.

AustraliaWe only had a minor issue with coffee & tea provided in our room, there was no Black Tea Pods we had to ask several times to get it right. Coming from Australia we are Tea drinkers not coffee drinkers. Finally reception ladies sorted this out after a couple of days.

United KingdomRoom noise is something to consider, for a few nights we had incredibly noisy neighbours and the noise does travel. The balcony doors while lovely don't really do much at all to keep the outside noise out. The pool deck can get incredibly busy so either get there early or be patient to find a bed.
I don't think this place could be in a better location; it's perfect. You are less than a minute walk from the beach, surrounded by restaurants/cafes/bars/shops etc. Views from the room were nice, we had a partial ocean view of which the partial ocean was stunning, the partial Foster Tower not so great :) But all in all, grand. Wi-fi was fast, down for a day but I guess that's out of the properties hands. The pool deck was beautiful, staff were very friendly, room was cleaned every other day.
