Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNot much to not like, great experience overall!
It is worth it to have a private room. I also appreciated the single showers and bathrooms. There is also a cute cafe in the lobby that has amazing ice cream! You also get a voucher for 10% off the pizza shop next door.

CanadaThe bed was a uncomfortable and small. The street is VERY loud during the weekend, and the doors/rooms are not sound proofed at all. We were up until 3-4am with the sound of the club underneath and then awake at 7am from 2 gentlemen speaking very loudly to each other outside of our door for and hour. The water pressure in the shower was terrible and there was no hot water ever. Very quick cold showers were not the vibe after long nights of no sleep lol
Great location, beautiful lobby and building! The amenities were great, the vibes are good and the staff were great !

New ZealandNot a lot.
An Art Deco gem walking distance from Denver's great mueums, art galleries and the state capital. What's not to like? Beds were really comfortable with good sheets and, ok, so you have to walk down the hall to the bathroom, but these are well maintained and clean. You certainly get more than you pay for. The entrance and lobby could be straight out of Edward Hopper's Nighthawks.

In walking distance to great museums and galleries (kirkland, history center, art museum..) - rooms are spacious and clean and the staff was sooo welcoming and helpful: We arrived early with a truckload of luggage and were able to check-in before noon and leave our stuff in our room before exploring the city! THANK YOU!

United States1. The power outlet is only located near the bottom bunk bed, so if you are assigned the top one, it's difficult to get power unless you have your own extension cord. 2. I stayed in the same room for 4 nights, and the door lock ran out of battery two times within my stay. Although the staff was fast dealing with this problem, it was still... too frequent!
The room is spacious and clean, and there are lots of bathrooms available. The location is good, within walking distance to museums and the State Capitol. There is a cafe that sells good ice cream on the first floor, and you will get a discount for the pizza restaurant beside the hotel if you present your hotel card.

ChinaThere's not much to complain about. Just that I stayed in the upper bunk in a 6-bed dorm, and the stairs are a bit tricky for me. Also, there is a little light on my side of the room. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, though.
The hotel is clean, quiet, and very beautiful, i especially like the pictures they put on the wall when you take stairs. Staff is patient and very helpful. On the 2nd floor there are spacious dining and living room. Downstairs in the lobby, there is a cafe selling delicious ice cream. It is in 5-minute walking distance to several great art museums. 3-minute walk to take bus#0.

United KingdomThere's a strong reliance on single use plastics (plastic cutlery etc.) which could be replaced by washable cutlery.
The staff were really kind (shout out to Katie and RJ), and the location is brilliant as it's only a few minutes walk away from the free mall bus. Bathrooms are really clean.

United StatesThe bedroom windows don't open. I know its a safety or security thing. The room had lots of light pollution with the HVAC unit and some other light on the ceiling. All the lights reflected off the stainless steel table so they were extra bright. Still I managed to get a good night's rest.
We booked a private room for the weekend. The entire facility was very clean and the staff was very professional and polite. Our room was big enough for all our stuff and the beds were comfortable. I liked the sink in the sleeping area as this was very useful. The common kitchen as very useful and the staff kept it very clean. The location was great as everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. This will be my first choice for my next trip to Denver.

SwitzerlandThe kitchen is big and well-organized, which is great. However, I was disappointed to find only plastic forks, knives, and spoons available. This not only cheapens the experience of enjoying a cooked meal but is also harmful to the environment. I suggest switching to reusable cutlery to improve the dining experience and support sustainability.
Well located with professional check-in. The staff were great and made me feel welcome right from check-in. The big common room is excellent for socializing. Rooms, kitchen, and bathroom were very clean.

United StatesIt would have been nice to have sinks either in the rooms with the toilets or at least out in the hall-- having to go back to my room where the sink was to wash my hands after using the toilet felt weird. Having outlets near each bunk also would have been helpful, that way I could charge my phone or laptop while I was using it in my bunk.
Check in was great, I loved the staff there. The renovations were excellent and the building itself was beautiful and in a very excellent location at a great cost.
