Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI didn’t like the rooms ceiling as weird sounds come from it (probably because of some animals).
This hotel is amazing and perfect for a relaxing holiday. It is located in a secluded spot and protected by security 24/7. Very exclusive place as they only have 18 rooms which allows them to take care of all clients properly. We really enjoyed our private little pool and going to sleep only hearing the sea sound. The food is superb and the staff super friendly. Go there, you won’t regret it.

FranceI found the food to be somewhat disappointing and believe it could be improved to match the overall high standards of the hotel. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great.
I recently stayed at Zanbluu Hotel and had an exceptional experience. The room was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable, making it a perfect retreat. The swimming pool is stunning, providing a serene and picturesque setting for relaxation. The resort itself is wonderfully maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Zanbluu Hotel for a delightful and memorable stay.

AustraliaSome staff were friendlier than others and they ran out of some types of drinks and food as they were closing for 4 weeks.
The location was remote, ocean views and had a luxurious feel.

United Arab EmiratesZanbluu beach resort exceeded all our expectations during our 7-night stay! The room was nothing short of luxurious, with every detail meticulously attended to. Waking up to the breathtaking view of the ocean from our bed was like a dream come true. Our stay was a gastronomic journey with every meal presenting a delightful surprise. From tantalizing seafood dishes to local vegetarian delights, the culinary experience at Zanbluu surpassed all expectations.

GermanyNothing :)
We were at Zanbluu only for a few days, but had an exceptionally good time. The entire complex is very well structured, the bungalows are lovingly decorated and well equipped. There is enough space at the beautiful pool and in the restaurant to enjoy some peace and quiet. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. The food and cocktails were very good and we never had to wait long for them, even when there were several people in the restaurant. If you want to relax for a few days in a nice atmosphere, this is the place for you. In contrast to other hotel complexes, the Zanbluu feels familiar and not overcrowded.

United Arab EmiratesThe beach area in front of the hotel isn't great as it's very rocky and covered in seaweed.
We loved Zanbluu and its beautiful setup. The rooms are clean and comfy. Staff were extremely friendly and made our stay memorable. We opted for the all-inclusive package, which covered all meals and most drinks. The package, however, excluded a few food items and premium drinks. Prices, however, aren't expensive. Meals are served plates instead of buffets, and we absolutely loved that. We couldn't eat as much as we wanted, but food wastage is avoided this way. We spent our days at the pool area, which was peaceful and relaxing. I also used the spa, which was okay. It's not the best massage, but I still found it relaxing. The hotel arranged a tour and shuttle service back to the airport. The staff helped me arrange a surprise romantic dinner for my husband, and it was lovely Management and staff were fantastic throughout our stay.

KenyaWell, perhaps it's the high stairs between the restaurant and the room which is a little bit inconvenient. However, staff helped us to lift all luggage downstairs even though we arrived at midnight, so it's fine.
The facilities in the hotel are considerately arranged and well designed, while the furniture is of nice style and in good condition - same as the pictures show on Booking. I like the swimming pool very much because of its creative design - very crucial under such hot weather. The owners of this resort are very hospitable and helpful, while the staff responds promptly when you have questions or requests.

NamibiaI would say the only disadvantage (and it’s an advantage for many) is that the resort is quite small, offers limited activities and you are less likely to meet new or like minded people - which is the case in the bigger resorts.
This is an upmarket, exclusive and fairly small resort. It has one beautiful pool (only), food is not buffet style but rather a la carte, which has its pros and cons. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and a 10 out of 10. Each room has either full or at least partial sea views. The Team is amazing. Zanbluu has a great variety of the most yummy food (although not such a big variety as the bigger, buffet style resorts on Zanzibar). We had the all inclusive option, drinks and cocktails were amazing, definitely better than at the bigger resorts. In low tide, one can walk to the beach in Kiwenga where there are lots of tourists, beach vendors and activities. Kiwenga is great for Kite Surfing. Zanbluu offers night time entertainment 4 nights a week, and we were positively surprised by the variety and quality - especially since it is quite a small resort. Their music selection during breakfast is amazing and the WiFi is also very good.

NetherlandsEverything was great!
What a wonderful hotel! It's beautiful, incredibly clean and the staff is wonderful. We stayed here for 4 weeks and it was a paradise. A 4-course menu of choice is served every evening, delicious food! They even baked coconut and rice bread because I can't eat gluten so I had bread too! Breakfast is also served with a lot of choice. Everything in a very beautiful environment. There is a lovely infinity swimming pool and the houses are beautiful and fully equipped. Every other evening there is music or a performance during dinner. They arrange all possible excursions (I can especially recommend the starfish, great!) and rental cars and taxis. We were even allowed to borrow the tuk tuk (they also arrange a Tanzanian driver's license) to drive to the village ourselves for some shopping. Everything is very well organized and you cannot imagine a more helpful and friendly staff. It is not a very large resort, you really get a family feeling here. If there is a problem it will be resolved immediately. They are always there for you. Super!

Germany‘Thank you’ to the entire Zanbluu team for making this holiday an absolute ten out of ten points. There is only grand things to say about our experience with you - the service was excellent, the food delicious, the bed super comfy, the thought that has gone into the details is remarkable. Everyone was very friendly and going the extra mile with ease to make our (and other guests) stay special. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, this is your place like home. We will certainly recommend Zanbluu to our friends and family and will be back. Thanks again, Adrian & Rosie
