There were not enough beach loungers at times, especially midday when all guests were by the beach-front pool. Some bar staff lacked a friendly demeanor. I did not really enjoy the shared bathroom at the pool but the option to use the room bathroom was there.

The staff at Kae were very friendly and welcoming. Meals were tasty and varied during our stay. Buffet meals meant we were never hungry. The rooms were large, basic, but comfortable. The 2 swimming pools offered enough space for families with children and were always kept clean.

Would have liked the offering of sauces and fresh chilies and garlic with meals. Most of the dishes were prepared with coconut and/or bananas with no other choice of the same for a person with allergies to this.

Enjoyed the fresh fruit available at every meal, rest of the dishes were average. Staff friendly, good service and accommodating with special requests. Would have enjoyed more variety of meat for breakfast, like spicy mince or bacon and not chicken sausage only every morning.

We booked all inclusive but were told on arrival that there was no alcohol included and that there were 2 types of all inclusive deals. On booking.com there was only one option. The hotel manager was very good at sorting this out. The room clean & spacious but definitely not 5star with a cracked bath and in need of updating. Food was our biggest complaint…meat dishes ran out quickly, hardly any vegetarian options and on the whole very poor selection. Brick hard pasta. They even ran out of cold milk at breakfast. This could easily be a five start accomodation if the owner invested in updating this resort. Lots of development around so they will need to up their game in the near future to survive the competition.

Stunning sunsets and spacious room. Staff were lovely and could not be more helpful.

Open buffet food is too Spicy and children Cannot eat.But they compensated for that by preparing special food for children.variety of food is very limited...6-7 dishes in the open buffet hot meal choices. The sea has too much tide in and out so was not like the ones you see in pictures.

Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and make you feel as if you are in a boutique hotel-ordered different foods and special evening dinnner etc-especially the Manager Mr Mervin Dora everything for you to make you feel at home or better.

Great resort with great staff! Amazing Holiday Destination

Our power kept tripping in the middle of the night meaning waking up sweating in immense humidity. Had to go outside and flick the mains back on at least twice an evening. The aircons may need to be re-gassed as it started nice and cool and after 5min it was just blowing air. At least the unit also had a fan so with the 2, it was decent. The costs for the buffet lunch / dinners are a little on the pricey side @ $25 a person excluding drinks. Obviously cater more for the non African countries so converting from Rands, things were a little on the pricier side. The food was really good though. The smaller restaurant could use a few more options. 3 Burger options @ $8 (Chicken / Beef / Fish). 4 Seafood dishes @ $15 each. That's all! We ordered a Chicken Burger and got a fish burger which then made us rather do the buffet dinners but again it landed up being quite pricey. Maybe was better to do the all inclusive? We didnt really weigh it up.

Sansi Kae is an amazing resort. We loved our time there. Right On the beach. Great Pools. Great Staff and overall a great stay. The massages were amazing. The night activities were a lot of fun and created a great vibe. The way the staff treat you is like royalty. We made friends with lots of the staff and had some good laughs and learnt a lot of the language from them. They always went our their way to make sure we had everything we wanted and more! The external company that handled the booking of activities were great too. We swam with dolphins and went to feed sea turtles in a cave. AMAZING experience. We also did the tour of prison island and stone town which were also great experiences. The resort is a bit of a drive from the airport but the taxis got us there no problem. On the East side of the island where its not as commercial so it wasnt too busy. We heard that the North side is madness. Especially when doing tours like the Dolphin swim. We had 4 boats around us vs what i heard some people say its mayhem with over 20 boats as an example. For a chilled getaway to relax and spend time at the beach or pools was amazing. I would recommend Sansi Kae to all.

It seemed a bit isolated, not many things to do around the resort. The beach was not great. It had only 2 restaurants, one with a very limited food menu, and the other one was only for the buffet, so I suggest that people go with the buffet options when they book.

The staff was great and very hospitable. The pool was nice and the breakfast was alright. It does have that resort vibe and it's very quiet.

The location is perfect! serene, quiet, tranquil, like a little paradise off the Indian Ocean 💗💗💗 The staff is incredible — kind, lovely, warm, always say hello and look out for you. I traveled on my own but never felt alone. I felt very happy and like a special guest! The ocean side room I stayed in was fabulous and just steps from the beach. If you’re lucky, the amazing chef will make you a traditional Swahili meal too! Very accommodating staff with lovely hospitality!

The room facilities was poor for a 5 stars hotel : no phone, the bathroom way under the standards, cleaning perfectible. Chairs without table in the balcony. Pool was not too bad but needs more maintenance. Breakfast was correct for salty meals, not that much for sweet ones.

We were upgraded to a room with sea view. The location and proximity to Kae Beach. The sea view from the room balcony and the Honey Moon room decoration. The staff was very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Wifi connection was correct.

The pricing on things such as bottled beer and soft drinks was much much higher than market price. The resort charges 'tourist' prices for food and drinks. You have no choice but to pay these prices because the aren't any alternatives around. For example, a bottle of beer was around five thousand shillings at the resort which is around two dollars or so. But in non-touristy places the same bottle can be less than half of what they were charging. It's not a massive difference if you have access to dollars or if you're coming from a wealthy country but be aware resorts charge higher prices and sometimes they only accept USD.

The location is excellent, there's direct access to a massive beach which. There's also plenty of food and drink options at the resort. The staff were friendly and responsive. They even prepared a lovely welcoming surprise for me and my girlfriend (a bottle of wine and a fruit platter).

We didn't like the first room that we received and paid for. It was outdated, and had a bed smell. After complaining about this, the hotel manager Mr Shaban Ally was really incredible. He upgraded our room, from garden view room to sea front suite, with no extra charge. We also received a complementary dinner on the beach and a bottle of sparkling wine.

The staff was really nice and helpful, always attentive to our needs, especially the hotel Manager and the Chef whom maid our stay so much more pleasant . The position of the location was excellent, right on the beach and near other restaurants and other leisure activities. They had excellent Wi-Fi, giving that we also had to work during our stay. The breakfast buffet was diversified and really tasteful, and had a lot of possible choices. The prices for food and beverages were really good. On our last day, after checking out our room, we received another room from the hotel manager to leave our luggage and take a shower before leaving to the airport. We had the flight scheduled at midnight, so this was really helpful for us.

The girls at the reception take a lot of time to answer to our questions. 1h to get a taxi, and even when we were checking out we wanted an hour for the bill.

We loved our stay at Kae Beach Resort! It was more than we expected. The staff is really polite and they took good care of us. The room is spacious and super clean, and the maid cleans it 2 to 3x a day. The food was good and not too oily, but it took very long at the Bahari Restaurant to be served it was the only low point. The beach is perfect! I would recommend this hotel for sure.
