On this planet, there does not exist a more comfortable bed. The best sleeps in years. The location is stunning and the hotel is very beautiful. I loved the hammock with a sea view. The food was good too. They have just opened and while I was there, there was a national power cut and some classy african issues. They dealt with all of it brilliantly, it was remarkable how they never stopped smiling and being adorably kind throughout all this. Congrats and i wish you all the best for the future. I hope i can come back soon.

We had no hot water (though there should be) and despite us mentioning it, it was not repaired during our stay (we would have expected better service at this price level). Furthermore water always spilled out of the shower when bathing, leaving the bathroom halfway flooded. (Too) Many instagramers taking endless fotoshoots. No alcohol is served, but you can buy your own booze and consume.

Amazing view and design Food was most pricy here (vs 4 other hotels we stayed in), but food quality was outstanding and honestly much better than in all other places. Consistency of food could improve, we ordered two times the same on two different dates but the taste and prep were different (apparently different chefs on the two days) Great scenery and beach Very nice staff

Restaurant: DRY hotel. no alcohol served here. cab into town (USD 20) to bring alcohol in but don’t expect anything from restaurant.hotel is remote. Can’t walk to shops.They do not serve soft drinks like Diet Coke. Expect fresh juices or coconut water only. Extremely slow service (1hr min wait). staff don’t tend to you immediately either. Meals don’t arrive together (even if same dish), 3 out of 4 dishes constantly came out.Pool snacks - slow. Ordered 2 portions fries, took two hours. Didn’t come out together. Carelessness for food allergies. Rooms: No mosquitos nets Expect a wet room bathroom. shower leaks and floods bathroom. You will be brushing your teeth by the sink whilst standing in a pool of water. I was particularly worried about this as my parents were staying and were at risk of a slip/fall. I did make my concerns clear to the front desk but nothing done. fridge is warm Lack of hooks no turndown service/room spraying Very inconsistent housekeeping. Our first few days room got cleaned but then stopped. told that this was because i had to hand my key into reception each morning. Surprising as I hadn’t done this before. no hair dryer in rooms. only one at reception Only 1 water glass to share in bathroom No bathroom door! hotel was empty during our stay so expected overall better experience. we informed hotel online AND in person that my partner and I had just got engaged. This went completely unnoticed. Bad experience in asking to pay for an upgraded room. Each day we asked, told to come back later. This occurred over two days and on the third day, we were told upgrade is 1 night only. Complained to manager who said we should have told her sooner and this is wrong. Frequent feeling where we felt like we were in the wrong. Check all your bills! room charge on checkout was higher than booked online. Taxi price at reception fluctuated daily (should be USD50!) so beware of this as it’s shouldn’t. Check restaurant receipts too diligently. Overcharged.

Modern appliances, clean room and aesthetically pleasing. The restaurant food was delicious and very healthy. The menu is changed every 3 days and they only serve fresh seafood/fish or vegetarian - no meat. Facilities Whilst we arrived in the evening, we did not receive a tour of the property or welcome drinks. We found out ourselves that there is a hidden upstairs space currently unused where you can do your own yoga and a hidden spa (this was not shown to us so came as a pleasant surprise). We also found out a few days in that there are free kayaks and water bikes - no paddle boards. A kind couple told us there is a free sunset sail boat trip too but each time they went to sign up, another couple clashed so I don’t think they ever actually had any luck with this. The Wifi was stronger in our room than by the pool or in the restaurant. I wouldn’t be able to work here using it however. Expect frequent power cuts, but hotel has a generator.
