Location was pretty messy out of the hotel. Not easy to reach the beach ( 1km to the beach by walking trough on dirty road with cows, crazy drivers and maasai people who do not respect your privacy).

The breakfast was something phenomenal. The only place which gave us the most beautiful and colourful meals with several choices of drinks (cocktails / coffees / sodas). Staff were amazing on my birthday they celebrated me with cake and song. Asante!!!

A stylish little hotel with the best breakfast around. Great room, air conditioning, everything is decent quality. The staff are friendly and accommodating, wifi is good. The rooftop is nice and breezy, excellent coffee and food. Great location on the main road in Paje.

The bed was very noisy and squeaked every time you move but we didn’t mind too much!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bara Bara! All of the staff were so helpful and made us feel very welcome. We appreciated the welcome drink and the recommendations of places to visit in Paje. The best part of staying here was the breakfast included in our stay. We couldn’t believe how nice it was and included coffees and juices from the cafe menu. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to visit Paje.

One of the best places i've stayed at on Zanzibar. The owners and the staff were more than great. The food and smoothies was super good. Everything was made with attention for the details. It was the hotel that served the best breakfast I have seen in Zanzibar so far. Both the food and drinks were delicious. The rooms were small but clean and useful. The air conditioner was working smoothly. You can fill your water from the water dispenser near your room.

Just some recommendations for improvement: The bathroom is very fancy but a bit unpractical, I would definitely put a shower curtain to avoid having all the water all over the floor after showering. Furthermore,I would put more towel hangers (not above the toilet) and some shelves to have more space for your stuff. The private beach and sun beds are not directly at the accommodation. You need to walk 10-15 min there. We didn't care so much, as we had a motorbike and we did not go to the beach for sunbathing, but maybe be a bit more precise in the description. We had a cleaning incident the first evening we arrived, which has been dealt with correctly. All in all, it's a very nice place, and I would definitely stay there again!

They have an outstanding brunch, all the food is high quality, delicious, and prepared with love and dedication. And yes, they have the best coffee on the island! All the people are very nice and smile at you at any time. We really enjoyed our stay there and had a good time! I definitely can recommend the place! And I would go back there for sure.

Our stay at Barabara eat and sleep in Paje was an absolute blast! We were blown away by the stunning design, aesthetics and impeccable maintenance of the rooms, which made our stay a truly luxurious and enjoyable experience. The thoughtful complementary water bottles were a lovely touch, making us feel pampered and taken care of. But that's not all - the food was out of this world! Each meal was a uniquely curated culinary adventure that left us craving for more. We felt like we were on a foodie's paradise! Abou, the staff member, was simply amazing. He anticipated our every need and went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. He suggested the most incredible activities that catered to our interests and made sure we had a blast! Ahmid, the driver, was an absolute pro - skillful, considerate, and patient. He made sure we had a stress-free stay and took us to all the best places on the island. The welcome drinks were a delightful surprise that made us feel instantly welcomed and appreciated. The entire staff was so courteous and hospitable that we felt like royalty! We can't rate Barbara's place highly enough - it's a must-stay location for anyone visiting Paje. Trust us, you won't regret it!

The vegan and vegetarian food is amazing, the rooms are perfect, the staff is super kind and the beautiful restaurant feels natural and trendy. I love their breakfastdeal for guests in the hotel: 10 dollar for a dish by choice + a juice/smoothie + a hot drink + a fruit platter. I did not stay at the hotel for chilling and a swimming pool, so I did not miss this.

Not a true negative considering the price, but it's about a 15 minute walk to the beach along the road which can be busy, so keep in mind if you have difficulty walking.

Great staff, delicious food and smoothies, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Good value for price. The hotel can connect you with various activities (snorkeling etc.).

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect! We stayed in the studio and it was really nice and comfortable. They definitely have the best breakfast in Paje and good pizzas! The owner was very helpful by letting us do a late check out as our plane was late in the evening.

The location is approximately a 10 minute walk from the beach, though the paths are quite nice and seemed safe to walk.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a fresh coconut to drink. The hotel arranged a tour to Jozani Forest for me, washed my laundry for a very reasonable fee, and answered my many questions about transport around the island. I loved having access to shady lounge chairs on the beach. Best of all, the food was amazing. There were so many delicious options.
