Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandNothing, everything was great.
Lovely, comfortable and well furnished apartment in beautiful garden and country surroundings. Eric is very welcoming and provided us with all the information and maps we needed for exploring the Gallipoli peninsula. Very relaxing place and would've been great to stay for longer.

This is an amazing location ideally placed for discovering the Gallipoli peninsula, peaceful tranquil location about 10 minutes from well stocked Supermarkets in Eceabat (New Migros not showing on Google Maps but easily found) our studio was well equipped to a high standard and we ate in both nights utilizing the Gas BBQ provided. The owner was very informative and gave us just the right amount of information for us to get the most out of exploring the area lending us a book he described as "Gallipoli for Dummies". The peninsula is beautiful and well worth exploring. Gorgeous dogs called Bingo,Layla and Antonia.

RomaniaPersonally I liked everything, but be aware of the fact that many would consider the area isolated or "cut off from civilisation" - although as mentioned before you can drive to the closest town in 20 min or so. If you are aware of this and do not have anything against it, should be a great place to spend a few days :)
Everything was great. The property's a complex of villas located in a (very) small village. So by default it's very quiet and peaceful :) The villas themselves were in great condition and despite the heat outside, the temperature inside was quite comfortable, even without turning on the air conditioning. The garden was lovely too. And parking is not an issue - can be done on property ground or on the village road (just be careful not to block it). 15-20 min drive to the closest beaches in the Gallipoli peninsula and to Eceabat (the closest town where you can find shops and restaurants).

AustraliaIt's not so much that we didn't like this, but we weren't expecting the dawn wake-up each morning by the local mosque's Islamic dawn prayer.
We loved the tranquility of the property and the surrounding village. The gardens were beautiful.

AustraliaThe only bad thing is that the rooms just need to be soundproofed, as its a farming community with dogs, and we were kept up for hours from 2am-5am by the barking dogs outside our window at night (about 5 metres away).

Super nice apartment. Well equipped with everything you need to cook. If you would like a few days of quiet countryside life, this would be a perfect spot. Our room is spacious with comfortable bed and powerful shower. Nice terrace to dine out as well. WiFi works fine most of the time. Even though we didn't have our own vehicle, Eric arranged all the Pick-up and drop-off from the ferry for us. He also planned and organized brilliant private taxi tours to gallipoli battle field with very reasonable prices. Much cheaper than joining a big tour and much better experiences as well. We can pay the bills by credit card as well.

TurkeyThe landscape, being in harmony with the surrounding nature, and the cleanliness of the premises and the care of staff are what we really liked. They allow dogs, which was a must for us. The room was quite big, beds were comfortable and airconditions were perfectly and silently working. We loved our 3 days there.
